He sold me Starbound for 3 keys about a month ago. The game worked fine for about 3 weeks, then got removed/rejected from my Steam account. At the time he had only positive rep ratings. Since them he has received 8 negative rep ratings. I should have been more careful because his steamtrades.com account was less than a week old at the time, and he was selling Starbound for cheaper than it has ever gone on sale for... If the deal seems to good to be true, maybe it is! I recommend trading with users with long standing positive ratings, and no negative ratings. I could have probably avoided this scam had I noticed his steamtrades.com account was brand new at the time. Not a big loss for me, but I just wanted to report him here so that others don't get scammed the same way. Also, be careful when trading Humble Bundle gift links! If they were purchased using fraudulent credit card, they can still be removed from your Steam account, even a whole month later!
Lastly, I went and deleted my positive rep, and gave vladik753 negative rep. Vladik753 has since left me negative rep in return... Is it possible to have my negative rep removed?

Most of these scams occur by the scammer saying "This is my steamtrades rep," when in fact it's not. The only way to fix these sort of scams is by editing Steamtrades itself.
For example, there could be a link that says "VERIFY THIS PERSON IS WHO THEY SAY THEY ARE" in big, noticable letters, when the "referer" field is not steamtrades.com. Then you'd be asked to copy the person's steam profile link (with instructions on how to do that wihin Steam), and the site will tell you if they're the same person.
Take care when clicking on links sent by other traders or when they ask you to add a friend.
Recently, someone added me on steam and told me to add a friend of his on steam. He sent me the profile of the so called friend, saying that the friend couldn't add me for some reason. When i clicked on the link to the profile it looked legit, just like any other steam profile with level 11. When i clicked add, my antivirus blocked the page. I immediately checked the profile of the guy who sent me the link and it was set to private. I checked the link and noticed that the word "community" was written as "communmity". I proceeded to add him to blocked list
This individual http://www.steamtrades.com/user/Kamba took advantage over me, because I had no rep, and scammed me for a BL2 Season Pass key, he claims it was bought with a stolen CC, which is just a false accusation to justify his scam. Here are some screenshots to prove my innocence.

There are 2 keys in Proof 1, first is the Season Pass, which I gave it to him, and he claims it disappeared after 4 months(he waited 4 months to see if it disappears, so he could pay me-ridiculous) from his inventory,even though we agree he would pay me through paypal after he verifies the key is legit, which he never did payed me, and second key is the BL2 Standalone which I used it for myself, and is still in my Steam Account, which is set to public.
I wish for my false, negative, malicious rep to be removed.
Second place you posted , we already have a dispute opened in the other forum , with the proofs from both , as i said i posted the picture of the payment , the key dissapeared , i returned the payment is simple as that , you waited this long to report me for the paypal logs to dissapear , lucky i had a picture of the payment , but not from the refund unfortunatelly.

You don't need to prove that you gave him the key, that's obvious, not even him is saying otherwise. What you need to prove is that you didn't cancel the payment.

This user http://www.steamtrades.com/user/BensDream gave me negative rep. I have never traded with him, he just felt like giving negative rep is fun. I asked him about why not replying to multiple trade offers on his thread. He got upset about it and gave me negative rep. Please suspend him, his behavior is bad for the community.
Do you do nothing about bogus negative feedback through here? I heard it takes 2-3 months before Steamgifts gets back to you about these.
I will post this anyway, it's really somewhat funny as this guy actually admits to scamming me in the negative feedback he left me(which he gave me because I left him a negative feedback for scamming me). Also, I see he actually now has 3 negative feedbacks from the last week for getting people to trade first, or he pays part until he gets what he wants, then he disappears.
Anyway, we do a deal and he pays part first, I trade him the game, he un-friends me and disappears. He then leaves me this comment (Not what actually happened btw, but pretty hilarious because he still explains that he did in fact scam me in this negative rep)

I refused to give 14 keys unless you give me cd key first. he said he can't give me cd key first because I had too low reputations.
and then he paused and said 7 keys before, sending the BF4 key and then the rest keys after I got the cd key.

Well, in this case, you have both misused the feedback system, but you did it first, KoteDobrii. I will be quoting Rinarin from the OP of this thread:

In your case, the trade never took place so you shouldn't have left him the negative in the first place (a neutral feedback would have fitted this situation, but sadly steamtrades doesn't offer that possibility) and he afterwards left you what can be viewed as revenge feedback so you both broke the rules.
I would personally suggest that the two of you discuss and you both remove the negatives from each other profile as support is really busy and such requests have low priority so it might take months until they are removed.

Well, I understand it is frustrating and a waste of time, I even had a similar situation, but that is the main disadvantage when you are buying things upon request and not trading stuff that you already have. What he did is, of course, despicable, but it is not scamming, it is more like lowballing and unfair haggling.
Sadly, steamgifts does not offer the possibility of giving Neutral feedbacks and Negatives are only meant to be given for Scammers/ Impersonators. The rules don't really cover your situation, but this clearly was not a scamming attempt.
I wish you good luck with finding a resolution with the other person and I must say that the negative feedback you left on his profile is not very clear, not everyone who reads that will understand that you bought the game specifically for him and after you did it, he pretty much tried to force you to give it cheaper.

Not sure if you've done it already, but you should submit a support ticket here explaining the situation/ offering proof and asking to have it removed, it might take a long time to have it removed because such tickets have low priority, but that is how the fake feedback can get removed.

Here where i live, it's a honor problem, if you don't have any honor is your problem.
When i offer something, i do that, i'm not here to play around. All my trades (More than 100 trades!!!!) go well, i never had any problem, only with this guy.
I had trades that have not been completed on both sides, but always polite guys, nothing mess around with others and no one never offered something and reject after.
So, for me and to many users here, this is a problem for sure and there is a topic for this kind of -rep sucker! So go away and stop to annoying me!

On impersonators
There has been quite the rise in impersonators around here lately and more and more people seem to fall for their scams. It has been suggested that there should be a post concerning the subject, in order to prevent users from getting scammed, however considering that ST is not actively moderated, we wouldn't be able to maintain such a topic currently. The warning about this subject is more on how to avoid or handle such scams.
Please make sure the ST profile being linked from the person adding you, actually belongs to them. Verify that their steam profile URL is the same as the one who added you to trade and obviously, please search for them on steamrep, don't ask them to link their profile/rep, just do it yourselves.
In the case of such a scam occuring, please report them to steamrep and SG support, by providing some proof of what happened and explaining any details (please attach screenshots of your chatlogs and their steam profile). Creating a thread on SG forums in not the way to go, as that will get you temporarily suspended for calling out. There have been incidents of the wrong person getting blamed for a scam and thus harassed for absolutely no reason.
On feedback
Misuse of feedback has been turning out to be quite an issue, not only with messing up trades but also with reports on support about its removal. I think that most users are not aware of how it should be used thus this thread will serve as a reminder and a warning on how it should be used, how it shouldn't be used and what will happen if it's not used accordingly.

Common sense should apply in the above. The fact that I didn't mention a specific comment does not mean that it's acceptable. Misuse of feedback can get you suspended temporarily and if done repeatedly, suspension can get permanent. Revenge feedback, in particular, is especially tricky considering a lot of people want negative reputation removed from their profiles. If the people requesting the removal of negative rep from support have left such revenge negative feedback on the other user's profile, they can get temporarily suspended as well. Giving them revenge feedback does not make you any better than them.
Considering all the above, I would like to ask users here to remove any feedback they have left on other people's profiles that does not follow the guidelines above. Any investigation done on the removal of negative feedback from now on will take this thread into account and the fact that everyone should have read it and complied with it. No appeals will be handled for temporary misuse of feedback suspensions, considering you had the time to remove it yourselves.
