no active moderators around here? From what i've seen so far many people have multiple topics(easy to spot with same signature in main site poping up like 4-5 times in one page). Also bump their topics many times in one hour.
I would love to see report button to make mods job bit easier.
I don't know how effective it would be, but given the recent burst in scammers impersonating legitimate users of the site, would restricting access to people logged in help prevent these from occuring?

Hey, I got a -rep from someone I never traded with. I might've discussed with him/her, though I don't remember...I know I'm not rude or anything like that though, so I don't understand why I got the -rep. Maybe I didn't like a lowball offer the person gave me? Either that or I got impersonated. I know I don't ever offer Paypal when I trade, and I've only traded for keys twice. I've some proof of a scammer. Vietspartan9791 is being impersonated. Please check the profile on his account against the one he gives you when you are trading. Don't downvote the poor man either.

It should only be used to recognize if the trader is a scammer or not, because he/she is free to withdraw his/her offer before the trade has been completed as there is no other deadline. This should be the very same as steamrep.com where people are flagged as scammers, otherwise we should be flagging with -rep lowballers, highballers and so on.
Case 1 : if a person gets a better offer than urs then obviously he will not trade with u
Case 2 : if a person gets a quick response from someone else why should he wait for u when u both offered him same &

That guy gave me negative rep for no valid reason and furthermore he refuses to discuss the topic. All he does is constantly insulting me.
The bump button resets every half hour. Does this mean we can bump every half hour if there is no activity or wait for one hour after last activity/bump regardless of the button reset?

Not sure where to post this but I think it's a must for users to login b4 see the threads. Else, the whole "Sign in Through Steam" will be useless as scammers can easily see the profiles, add to steam and scam people (just caught one and reported it to steamrep)
It doesn't fix anything. They could use account to read threads, but they would never reply in them and lie, that they don't have a profile.
If it's mandatory to login first then at least we could see the positive/negative rating in this site; which prevents scammers from further scamming
I don't understand this. How would you see rep of somebody who added you without writing in thread?
We would have to add features, like searching for profile based on Steam ID, OR hide our Steam profile links from guests, show only for users and log everybody who clicks it.
i got scammed out of a couple keys. i followed the link to the official reporting thread but it's closed. i don't know the guy's steamtrades account but i'd like to warn others against him if he actually does have an account. how do i go about finding his steamtrades account? i'm putting in a report at steamrep.com but since he definitely found my post here i'd like to warn people here too.
guess from now on i'll have to take trades that aren't gifts more slowly. if i would have looked at all carefully, the fact that most of his comments saying good trade were the exact same time and his inventory didn't include what he was offering and he only had one game on his account would have made me reconsider. i thought i didn't care much since i have a lot of keys, but the fact that someone would try to steal like this is pretty terrible. i don't care much that i don't have the keys anymore but i really don't like the idea of this other guy having them.

How are we supposed to get in touch with the admins if a user is harassing us? The "report wrongdoing" thread is closed, and you guys turn down Steam friend requests.
Why not just disable bump button in site engine if you bumped less than hour ago? Instead of locking threads?

And, of course, all keys are redeemable. And not the ones mentioned in the exploited key list...
Some people have been unable to trade Indie Royale keys because they auto-redeemed them with the Indie Royale account.
