Just my two cents on the subject. If something in given for free on a less desirable platform that doesn't equal less demand for it.
Take Goat Simulator 3 for an example. It it/was epic exclusive and it's being sold poorly. People are waiting for it to pop to steam to purchase it.

It's doublesided but you really can't use the argument that you got game on x platform so it makes it less desirable on steam, however it is always in best interest just to throw what's a fair offer to you and what's fair offer to the seller, then you can negotiate, whether it's succesful or not but you started the negotiation with a bias towards lowering the price from the get-go.

As for Dead by Daylight, it's very popular game consisting lively gamerbase, even though it's been free, bundled and offered who knows where. It still holds value due it's constant and lasting popularity. Good lot of games tend to do this. However saying it was free at some point and you should take it in consideration can be potentially reasonable, but on other platform and untradable product, that's just plain nonsense. By that regard anyone could go blasting that have this and that on itchio, so everything i got there should be far less in price elsewhere or preferably free! Well probably many feel like that they don't want to spent extra, that's fine, but don't expect other people to pay it for you. Me no your papa.

Everyone is looking the preferable pricing and least cost likely (not always), but mainly that is something that is true for people around these sites. Communities on these sites are just drop a in a sea that is the people consisting active gamers. Heck good lot of people on ST are more of Traders > Gamers. However for me it's Gamer > Trader, still day one did already make it clear to myself what kind of shark are in this pool of water, but it's nice way to get extra fish on my side of the pool to enjoy, or probably some shit on the side blobbing in. But it is what it is. Personally have good pool of backlog to last for good many years to enjoy, while have played about 2/3rds of what have on the account. This site isn't for making money, work is far more better option for that. This is mainly getting games to enjoy, but at this point have achieved that so well, that it really doesn't matter if all of my extra dust away and will never be traded... prefer it way over giving them for free, as have done that in past enough and can say.
