so this threads OP pretty clearly says only 2 threads per user active at a time. yet right now i see like 2-3 ppl on the front page alone that have 3 thread open and all bumped at the sametime. is this not enforced or do ppl just not care. its also pretty lame to see the same person open the same thread twice and just change the title ie:

I send him 2 keys as we negotiate about sniper elite zombies 1+2, 2 keys before cd-keys and 1 key after adding them to my steam library, he send me key which was not even valid on steam, he then said its for origin (origin dont even got this game -. -). I shouldn't trade with him, couse when i try to trade with him there was a popup window with warning about scams he made in past.. Well i just lose 2 keys and i cant report it to Valve couse they policy do not respect cd-key trading :<

After over 8 months my main topic got closed for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Can someone explain why and can a moderator please reopen it for me, it is very frustrating to see this happen. We take the trading quite seriously.
Inactive threads (meaning there hasn't been a comment in a while) are closed after about a month if i'm not mistaken.
weird. I didtn get comments in about 1 month but I was bumping it multiple times a day and it was active was selling quite a bit, shame about that rule, if thats what caused it, hope they revive it for me.
It only applies to comments not bumping, also it's not a rule it's just how the forum is programmed to work.
Keep in mind that if it wasn't like that the frontpage would be filled with autobumped threads from traders long gone/ not active on ST.
Also, it's not possible to revive a closed thread, been there myself and to save you some time this is the answer I got from support:

Thanks for the explanation, I appreciate your effort. Nevertheless I think its an illogical and kind of ridiculous rule for Steamtrades to have. It is not a discussion forum to expect comments, its a sales/trade page, if people wanna trade they add you. In any case a "bump" is a sign of activity as well, not only comments, they should override this silly rule. And I was bumping it 5 times a day and selling daily.
Hope a moderator takes this into consideration.

I checked with the guy and he claimed that he was trading them all for a card each, in any case he closed the thread after trading all his keys.

I appreciate it but they are not recruiting and I'm not sure why.
I had several fake reps and I reported them and it took them a whole month to fix it and to make matters worse they didn't punish ANY of them and indirectly blamed me for the whole thing, so I got tired of this and decided that I won't bother anymore.

This guy Link is giving me positive rep but I never traded with him. Normally I wouldn't bother but after I added him on Steam to ask why he gave me the rep he blocked me. So it can be a mistake or I have an impersonator.

Report that guy to SR, reporting him here won't do you much good since he'll get a ban sometime in the future at best, but if you report him for this type of scam on SR you can be sure he'll be marked as a scammer for good.

The guy adds me on steam without any warning, pretends he had Super Meat Boy and wanted my Guacamelee: Gold Edition, he had 4 pages of +rep on his steam profile, checked steamrep and nothing showed up, so I went first, and he just threw me a invalid steam key. (not even a used one, just plain invalid). But once I returned to steamrep to report him, 1 pending report showed up, so he might have scammed a lot of people today...
EDIT: Be even more worried, crafttablept must be some steamrep mod/admin family member/friend, 5 threads with 30 games keys and money stolen and they have all been invalidated... -rep to steamrep itself for not being good enough to fill it's only damn purpose, trying to stop scammers. Never trusting this fucking site again.
Not to be a dick but you're seeing conspiracies everywhere, SR hasn't handled the most common types of scams for ages, the only scams they accept nowadays are for giftable copies all other tickets just get marked as invalid.
To be honest I don't even think SR is of any use anymore I have an open ticket for a steam items for paypal scam which they claim to still handle yet it has been open for over a year just like every other ticket I've ever submitted.
In case you're still interested in trading I'd advice you to install the "enhanced steam" addon for chrome/FF, it gives you the option to add links on someone's profile to their steamtrades/steamrep/steamgifts account so if you ever get an invite out of the blue again you can check with 1 click if the person adding you really is the person they claim to be (I'm guessing the guy that scammed you is an impersonator, that's the case with 90% of the scams here on ST)

Aren't you all fed up with sights like this becoming more and more common? So am I. Therefore, this is a warning. Do not open or leave open more than two trading threads at once, especially for the same thing. Do not "invisibly" bump your thread every two minutes. I have begun suspending and I am not giving you just a light slap on the wrist for this amount of spam. Now, I'm more of an SG mod, I'm not good with STrades, so, please, feel free to point me towards anyone who needs it, preferably with evidence. Might as well use this thread for it. This is going to stop.
Update: This problem should never have been allowed to get to this point (and I likely would have been okay with it if the bumps were at least staggered rather than bumping six threads at once), so I'm probably going to seem overly harsh to some of you, cracking down on everything severely. Now that this is stickied, I'll give everyone a grace period of twenty-four hours (until 7:30 PM UTC, 7th) to reorganise their threads and close down any duplicates. After that, I will begin to suspend without warning.
Edit: Time's up. Suspensions begin now.
Update 2: After a talk with Yatterman, two trading threads is now acceptable, as long as they are not identical.
Update 3: Just found a nifty bug(?) on the site that'll let me close the offending threads without officially having any powers on Strades. Feel free to link the threads in future and I'll close them too.
Update 4: As some may already know, my activity will drop massively as of right now. I'll still be dealing with SteamTrades stuff whenever I can, but expect me to be a little slow on it.
