You technically can. You award the buyer's account and they will receive some points afterwards.
For example: if I award your profile with the Take My Points award, I would spend 4800 points and after 14 days you would get 1600 bonus points.
That's why the thread creator said that since he wants 70K in points, you would need to use 147K points in awards to his profile, comments and community content.
