99.9% of the games traded here are bundled. If something is cheaper in bundles but more expensive on steam, then the cheaper title on steam is EVEN more cheaper in bundles. Current steam value is the only proper indicator of value for trades as far as I'm concerned. :) Good luck to you too! :)

By your logic, or rather lack of, 99.99% of the games traded here are bought for cents.
I trade only in current steam value which is the only fair method of estimating the value of a trade.
If you like doing otherwise please show me your list so I can request a trade of a game from your list with 39.99 current steam value with one I have from your wishlist with 14.99 and let's see if you'll accept the trade then.
The truth of the matter is most people try to grab expensive titles by trading them for something worth much less. The majority of trades requested are of the titles that are 20+ and most of the time the titles offered in return are half the value or less. Others have the expensive titles in the list with disclaimers saying: "Special offers only" or similar.
My method is absolutely fair and if you see my thread when people have offered me games of greater value than what they want from my list I warn them so and ask if they like something else as well to make it even.
If you disagree, again show me your list so I can choose three titles you got for 33 cents each and I'll pay you 2 Euro for them via paypal...
Actully both methods of valuation are fine and used by people trading games, among other methods. I offered two bundled games that were worth about 40 cents as a proportion of the bundles they were in. Your games is worth about 33 cents in the bundle it's in. I can get Super Mega Baseball for 400 tremor coins while the games I offer are worth about 500 tremor coins. If I buy the games on steam, mine cost $15 and your game costs $20. All are valid ways to value games. If you do not feel that it is a fair trade, no worries. I do not feel it would be fair for me to offer 3 bundle games for your 1 bundle game. I appreciate you considering my offer but I must decline your counter-offer. Thanks anyway.
The problem with the "bundle" value approach is that it is not standard and there are many different bundles for the same games. This is why the only viable method is current steam value (not counting discounts of course) because it is a clear and standard indicator of what the actual game value is (as in what one would pay to get it from the store without any discounts). The moment you start counting discounts then you are forced to check every possible one. And you would have no way of proving if I bought the game on this discount, the previous one, the one 3 months earlier, at full current price, at launch price (which is always higher).
If the game is 33 cents on Humble but 10 cents on x-y-z store found in isthereanydeal? What then? A game that has been for a year in the store for 20 Euro but once before got in a 1 Euro discount should be valued for what? 1 Euro? Not to mention that I have no way of knowing if said person bought the game at that deal. It's absurd.
You must understand that when counting actual value any promotional discount etc must go out the window. It is by no means reliable at all. I am not trying to change you mind here, I'm am just explaining why I don't accept any other method of value estimation because all other methods are actually unreliable.

I totally agree that your method provides a standard that is as objective as possible. I guess when it comes down to it, a game is worth what someone will pay for it. The game trading market is very volatile. I like buying bundles because the games are cheaper than on Steam itself. I always end up with a couple that I don't want or already have so I trade them for a game I want so my valuation of a game can vary quite a lot. I didn't think your counter-offer was unreasonable, I just found that three games for one doesn't sit well with me in this case.

I am a collector of games for over 25 years and I do try to minimize the cost of this habit of mine. Like you I buy bundles when they have at least a couple of titles in that I find interesting/want in my collection and the cost is same or lower than the best deal I can find online. Here I trade doubles and games that I'm not even remotely interested in. If there's a title that I absolutely want, specially if it's one that I've been dying to play, or one that I really like and want it in a Deluxe Edition or something (eg Satellite Reign Deluxe in my "Wants") I'm willing to trade more than it's worth for it but otherwise I just go by standard value:)
