Is there a way to request the deletion of negative feedback because of impersonators or scammers / banned users?. I have a negative feedback because of an impersonator problem for example. I know this is difficult to manage, and is not much important when u have a lot of rep. just asking...
Create a ticket under SteamGifts support concerning the feedback.
I've always given proof when disputing my feedback such as the a screenshot showing the person was repeatedly vulgar before leaving the feedback. In your situation the person is 3/18 and currently suspended, so that speaks for itself.

I kinda have to disagree with the "Revenge Feedback" thing. Obviously if it's between two traders and something negative has happened, then yeah - you shouldn't give negative feedback just because you've earnt it. But if someone gives you feedback for no reason (Perhaps you spotted a scammer, and they mark you down as a scammer instead... just off the top of my hat :P), surely you have reason to "revenge feedback" them for accusing you of scamming unjustly - although, yeah, they're the one's revenge scamming in this instance, why should you not do it in return?

"No reason" is not a valid reason to give feedback so as such, you'd report them for doing so and have it removed. Eliminating the revenge feedback is essentially the purpose of this post. When have two wrongs ever made a right?
Why should you not warn the other people that this person gives fakerep? In my eyes this is a legit reason to give someone negative. The other person breaks the rules, so you "mark" him negative because he did something negative. Its not the same like giving neg rep without any reason or because of a lie.
Unfortunately, we don't have some neutral feedback comment for the time being, in order to have those marked like that. Giving them negative feedback instead of reporting them will just let them do it to more profiles. What good will it do?
I think you misundertsood me, I did not mean that you should not report them. This should be additional. Since the reports takes some time (minutes/hours/days), this would be just prevention like in any case with a scammer.
Do as you'd like, but remember that rules are meant to be followed, if you don't want to follow them then you risk punishment.
p.s. It takes over two weeks to get a response on SteamGifts so I highly doubt we'll have active moderation anytime soon unless they hire a bunch of new support.
I think this "advice" is pretty bad. Just because someone disagrees with a rule does not mean that he should break this rule, a better way is complain/discuss about the rule (for example writing here while Rinarin still reads).

That's the truth though, rules are there to be followed even if you disagree. Support is always open to suggestions so long as you submit it in the correct manner. If you don't want to follow them, no one can force you to, but you must be aware that you could face repercussions.
I wasn't trying to advocate rule breaking, but it seemed as if you were refusing to accept the rules so "do as you'd like" or submit a suggestion to support were the only two real options. I should probably add that the correct way to make a suggestion is the same as everything else which is to create a ticket in the support section on SteamGifts.

Also I think that the part of the revenge neg rep should be changed in some way. When Trader1 does something wrong to Trader2, why should Trader2 not be able to "mark" this person as someone who claims false things? Why should the community not be warned about this person? It would be a legit reason to give someone a negative comment, because the person is telling lies about other traders. This is not the same like giving negative without any reason or for any lie.
EDIT: You mentioned that theres no active moderation. Do you have any plans to change this? Will Steamtrades get some moderators or can people apply at some places for this?
The community can also be warned by a Suspended tag in front of the user's profile name. A lot of negative reputation comments won't get someone suspended. Reports about them will.
Edit : Missed that part. I am not entitled to answer this at this point but we can hopefully change that soon. We don't have some application idea at the moment at least.
I didn't even know SteamTrades HAD moderators until you posted this sticky, and I've been here for a couple years now. I've had someone "revenge rep" me for ignoring their trade offer, when in fact I wasn't even online (they had replied to a month old post).
I posted a discussion thread in the S.Trades Steam group and got no response. Since I felt that an email to the address in the Contact Us link would fall into a black hole, I simply left negative rep.
Perhaps you can make the fact that you guys actually exist more prominent on the site? I felt like I had no other option.
They don't exist on this site, you have to go to SteamGifts and file a report to support through there. It's also mentioned already if you had looked for it.

The guy who gave me (my current) fake negative rep was suspended because of giving fake negative rep to multiple people. The rep still hasn't been removed from my profile and the suspension has ended already. Giving them some kind of comment on their profile is the only way to warn people that they are not the only ones in the situation.
In addition, it's the fastest way for you guys to remove the fake rep. The last time this happened, everyone who got fake rep from this one person got it removed within a couple of hours because they posted warning rep (including me). This time, I didnt realize I had fake rep until a couple of days afterwards. Everyone else who gave warning rep had their negative rep removed within a day, even without a support ticket. Meanwhile, I didn't give a "revenge" negative rep, so I'm stuck here with the blemish on my profile for far longer than everyone else.
My single -1 rep is from a revenge downvoter - is there anything I can do about that?
Since you request to remove negative feedbacks that don't follow strictly that rule, I'll do so.

I agree with most of this but have to take issue with the final point about "Revenge Reputation". Fortunately a false negative rep has not happened to me, but when I see bad rep on a potential trading partner's profile I follow it to the other party's profile just to see what the former had to say about it (if anything). This is the only way that a trader can defend themself against false negative rep and it stems directly from the fact that there is no active moderation on here. If you are going to make a rule like that then there needs to be a moderating presence of some sort to hold up your end so-to-speak. Leaving this place practically abandoned and simply directing people to report such issues on Steamgifts and hoping that someone will get to it and fix everything does not really inspire confidence, sorry.
Also, speaking of a lack of moderating presence, there are sometimes people on here who post dozens of spam threads with the exact same content (titles and all), often on the same day.

Although I do agree technically that revenge feedback shouldn't be the way to counter a fake negative, the current lack of moderation kinda forces people's hand in that direction. Mods cannot currently delete that false negative feedback and we can't answer them on our own profile. Like ShadoWeN, when I see a negative feedback on someone's profile I click on it to see what's the other side of the story. I'm lucky enough to have tons of positive feedback and that it overshadows my fake neg, but having a random neg on a new trader could really damage it's reputation and seeing tons of negative feedback on the culprit's profile is often the only thing that can help those people. (We need to report them too, of course.)
I have no problem with negatives being deleted on both sides (mine and the other party) once support can intervene, but in the meantime please let us know how we're supposed to protect ourselves if you guys can't do anything more than suspend the culprit without undoing any of the damage?
This thread was made both as a request and a warning, in advance to starting dealing with and removing feedback that was already reported so far. Giving users a few days so they can read and check their feedback before we start investigating those.

Yeah some people do check back to see where the rep came from but unfortunately not all do. As mentioned in the edit, we'll probably add "fake feedback" warning comments as acceptable.

A while back I did a trade with SKEPTICK19, I sent him the Amazon keys, then he sent me an invalid key and blocked me on steam. I left negative feedback to warn others, and then about a week later, he leaves me negative feedback saying I tried scamming him!

When taking screenshots of the conversation, be sure to include a bit from the previous screenshot to show it is being continued and there is nothing left out. In otherwords, make the last one or two lines from the previous screenshot the first one or two in the next one.
He has changed the screenshot he posted on your reputation to try and make it seem that you were being shady as opposed to his original "he scammed me". I really don't see where you guys agreed on a trade, it seems like you kinda forced it onto him by sending him the key, but oh well.

Yes, this rules are good. But "gives fake rep"-comments are not good when given by both, fake repping guy and fake repped guy, because it may be hard to get to know who is actually the real victim of fake rep.... Hmm..

There's not one solution that's a fix all. But this is a definite step in the right direction imo. As with most new rules and or guidelines it will take time to iron out the kinks to adapt it properly. Even then there will always be those who agree and disagree with said rules. Bottom line is rules are made to be followed, so it's up to us members that give a damn about this community to set examples, follow them and when needed help to debate and amend these rules to work better within the community.

Some guy actually started arguing with me about what I SHOULD want for my games (ones I listed in my thread), despite the fact that I didn't want them and that I had them, and he got quite obnoxious about it. I wanted to leave him negative rep, to mark him as an obnoxious trader, but I'm not sure if that qualifies as "proper" use of the feedback system, and was wondering if you guys could clarify.

Thanks for seeing through his tricks I don't even go begging people for their keys like this impersonator has been doing. Judging by the time you posted your message I wasn't even at home yet. I just came home from work at almost 3PM EST. I work from 5:30am till 2pm and it takes me close to an hour to get home.

Be careful about an impersonator "hunting" for new traders today. He's impersonating me and have been already reported. I noticed some negative rep from people I never dealed with so I investigated and found out about him. One of the victims checked it with me and changed his vote to advice other traders.

On impersonators
There has been quite the rise in impersonators around here lately and more and more people seem to fall for their scams. It has been suggested that there should be a post concerning the subject, in order to prevent users from getting scammed, however considering that ST is not actively moderated, we wouldn't be able to maintain such a topic currently. The warning about this subject is more on how to avoid or handle such scams.
Please make sure the ST profile being linked from the person adding you, actually belongs to them. Verify that their steam profile URL is the same as the one who added you to trade and obviously, please search for them on steamrep, don't ask them to link their profile/rep, just do it yourselves.
In the case of such a scam occuring, please report them to steamrep and SG support, by providing some proof of what happened and explaining any details (please attach screenshots of your chatlogs and their steam profile). Creating a thread on SG forums in not the way to go, as that will get you temporarily suspended for calling out. There have been incidents of the wrong person getting blamed for a scam and thus harassed for absolutely no reason.
On feedback
Misuse of feedback has been turning out to be quite an issue, not only with messing up trades but also with reports on support about its removal. I think that most users are not aware of how it should be used thus this thread will serve as a reminder and a warning on how it should be used, how it shouldn't be used and what will happen if it's not used accordingly.

Common sense should apply in the above. The fact that I didn't mention a specific comment does not mean that it's acceptable. Misuse of feedback can get you suspended temporarily and if done repeatedly, suspension can get permanent. Revenge feedback, in particular, is especially tricky considering a lot of people want negative reputation removed from their profiles. If the people requesting the removal of negative rep from support have left such revenge negative feedback on the other user's profile, they can get temporarily suspended as well. Giving them revenge feedback does not make you any better than them.
Considering all the above, I would like to ask users here to remove any feedback they have left on other people's profiles that does not follow the guidelines above. Any investigation done on the removal of negative feedback from now on will take this thread into account and the fact that everyone should have read it and complied with it. No appeals will be handled for temporary misuse of feedback suspensions, considering you had the time to remove it yourselves.
