He also tried to offer me a paypal deal before i even saw this thread. Seeing his profile however convinced me right away he was a scammer before we even had the chance to discuss trading.(No games, just joined, no profile info etc etc)
When i called him out on it he told me

He just tried to scam me, but I looked from your rep page to see if it was the same Steam profile and it wasn't. I then declined the offer and reported him to Steam, but I'm sure he'll just make more Steam accounts.
He almost scammed me today. I was lucky because 1- I don't trust in the humanity LoL 2- I read a lot of comments in your page CyberMarco, about people telling exactly that (there's a guy trying to steal with your credentials.) It's not, though...once you get even a few bad reps, you're pretty much screwed.
They seem to be on the hunt again unfortunately and I was the start of this new rampage. I have reported them to Steam Support and reported the violation. They are changing their name after each successful scam this time though. I managed to get the Url http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198085688875/ They used your name again but they have changed it so many times that you can no longer see it. I have the amazon receipt for the key I lost. Can Steam Support remove the key with this information?
Sorry to hear you were a victim. I don't know if Valve can do anything more than just making his trade status banned. You can always try to contact them and give all your evidence, if you have a screen-shot of the chat log even better. Good luck!
It's alright and you have nothing to be sorry for. I made a mistake and learned a lesson. I made a copy of the chat log before they took me off their friends list and sent it along with my report. Hopefully something more drastic is done to them. Surely they can ban the IP or something similar to that. I know they could just mess with the IP but at least they would have to use a bit more effort.

once again , im so tired of valves policies, they punish the innocent and let the guilty pretty much roam free, and their so called mods on spuf are total idiots and assholes to boot. we as honest paying innocent people need to finally stand up and tell valve we arent gonna take it anymore. they claim they cant handle the load on steam support , so thier answer is to make us suffer for that as well. not expand thier support staff. as long as us as paying customers sit back and just say oh well, valve and thier staff will continue as it is now, and probably6 get worse as time goes as it has been for the past year. sorry for the rant but i had to get it out somewhere , and cant so it on steam forums cause they dont believe in freedon of speech there.
Yeah, I know that feeling, Steam support doesn't have a call center or call support, not even live chat! Nice customer service... And regarding Steam forums,one false move and BAM banned!
I know Steam support isn't that helpfull, but Steam states to not trade outside trading window actually. As of course they have no control over it. In fact, if I were to give you a key from a retail disc I have laying around, I might end up claiming your account, claiming it was taken over by others. Of course Steam support will look into whether that's plausible or not (no recent change in password, no change in mail address, still the same IP=no takeover). But it should be noted that Steam will not support trading keys, with good reasons actually.
Although they could me a bit more user friendly from time to time, I have to admit that.
