thanks for the idle
Traded my Overwatch to this guy and he stole the game, along with 3 loot boxes. He claimed he never received anything and pretended he didn't know how gift-links worked. He wanted to wait til the next morning to send me my games, and the next morning he unfriended me, keeping Overwatch and the Loot Boxes. He admitted in his reply below that he redeemed a code even.
When I told him I would contact Humble to get him a new gift-link, or find out if he had claimed the code at the time I sent it, he removed me as friend after I logged off. I attempted to contact him again, but he simply refuses to hold up his end of the deal.
He got my Overwatch, plus the 3 loot boxes - I got nothing but grief. I have the entire conversation in screenshots.
EDIT to respond to his reply below: So, he spoke perfect english when we spoke on Steam chat, and he replies with spanish? In reply, he agreed to let Humble verify that the gift-link he sent was activated moments after it was sent to him, to HIS email address. In an effort to give him the opportunity to make good on the trade, he was to wait until the Humble staff was back in the office (since the trade happened on a weekend) - instead, he took the code, and unfriended me. If that is not enough proof that he is trying to scam me, I don't know what else I can offer. I have dozens of screenshots and screen-grabs of the entire conversation.
UPDATE: I just heard back from Humble, and they confirmed that the person below, who has now changed their account name, and blocked me was indeed the person that activated my copy of Overwatch, PLUS all three loot boxes on their Battle . net account Redeemed to Kaordez#1413 In essence, he scammed me out of those items because I was idiot enough to trust him and go first.
Thanks to this dishonest liar, I will never again go first when I trade.
