-rep scammer, scammed me out of 2.5 TF2 keys, told me he would give me a Hong Kong CS:GO key. He insisted I should go first, I gave him 2 keys + 15 metal. He disconnected a few times, then deleted me, as if he was still offline. It ain't much, but he scammed me.

This post is not even 20 hours old, and his reply for every single one is "this report on steamrep is like 2 months old".

Me and this user have a magical relationship. Take magical however you want to. I've got to say, I've never met a person such as him. After posting a thread on SteamTrades telling the community what I own (an I Am Awolnation CSGO music kit and a Hotline Miami music kit) and telling the community what I would like in exchange for them, later on in the day, I get a friend request on Steam from this user. This user did not leave any message on Steam Trades, which should have been a red flag from the beginning.

He proceeded to ask me if I still trade music kits, and long story short, we made a deal in which he will give me a Zombie Army Trilogy CD Key in exchange for my music kit. He makes the excuse that I am a new user with no reputation, and therefore I should send my items first. Me, being quite frankly very dumb and only concerned on getting what I want as quickly as possible, sent it with trust in this user. Then I am told to wait, and I patiently and very optimistically waited for him.

Afterwards, to my surprise, he goes offline. No big deal, right? After 10 minutes, I ask a friend of mine to check if he really is offline by sending him his Steam profile link. (Quick disclaimer: this user did NOT send ANY negative rep messages on this user's account, and I did not make anyone do so.) Such shock! He is actually online... what could this mean? I then see... an "Add Friend" button. "What?!" I click and magic certainly finds its way through. "Error adding Friend. Communication between you and this user has been blocked." I became blood-red angry and walked around the house breathing very heavily at the mistake I had made. Soon, I see the user changed his name.

I proceed an attempt to find his account on SteamTrades (sadly I forgot to ask for his profile beforehand, and also I make absolutely no checks to see if he is a trustworthy user) and I find it. I make a very negative review on it, to which this user responds with lies that he posted the ENTIRE CD Key (when in fact he only posted 5 letters, as I had requested for proof of legitimacy of ownership of the CD Key) and ends up blaming ME or my friends for using the CD Key. And that was the first day.

The second day, I wanted to check his profile. Now as I see he has unblocked me, and I sent a friend request. At around 4pm, we have a discussion and I tell him what I want because of his scam. We ultimately come to grips at an arrangement - I change my review, and he gives me something for it. He gave me Borderlands GOTY (Steam gift) and I ended up keeping it in my inventory.

I cannot express how happy I am that he, as a scammer, decided to give me something back in return. I certainly haven't met anyone like him before. After a bad experience, to see this happen? Wow. He did play the victim the whole time and told some absurd lies, and based on his SteamTrades profile responses I can already tell. I unfortunately cannot give a positive review, as much as I would possibly want to, because people NEED to be informed of fraudulent users and as many people need to be saved. This review can be edited at any time, especially if this user responds to my review.

So warning to all users: you won't see another scammer give you things back like this one has, (after a lot fighting back to gain what was rightfully mine) but I would be VERY cautious and do NOT send your items first when trading with this user! He may have done good trades in the past, and may continue to do so, but that is not for me to decide. Please be cautious.
