-REP: Contacted via the Group Buys WTB forum, in response to his request for a copy of Yakuza 3 from the recent HumbleMonthly. I was the only respondent after 22 days and offered a fair price, given the item's scarcity and the fact that others had been sold for the same value in the same group. I accepted the user's friend invite, now using the name "矢吹奈子 S I M P," and provided my PayPal address and basic credentials.

SIMP responded with a protest that the fees were too high and suggested I pay them; I refused, as standard practice is for any fees to be the buyer's prerogative, and suggested we pursue an alternative payment method. He lacked any and, despite having accepted a proposed price in Euros, acknowledged that he operated on rubles.

Sympathetic to his plight, I proposed that he either trade me TF2 keys or that I could establish a non-commodity trade, send him the link and he could pay with Steam Wallet funds. He declined both offers, stating he neither had keys nor money in his wallet. He suggested, instead, the use of some extremely low-value cases. Selling for less than half a Euro apiece, with Valve's 15% cut it would take 9 of them to equal the agreed upon payment. I dutifully outlined the requisite math for SIMP, including notations of how that sum was attained, then inquired if it was acceptable.

He agreed.

SIMP then asked me to trade with his "alt." He sent me a link. The account was for a Level 0, no-game, no-activity, no-reputation profile that was named after some CS-GO announcer. I politely declined. He insisted. I, again, declined, stating that I would rather wait the seven-days as I do not associate, communicate or trade with Level 0 accounts for security purposes.

SIMP immediately became hostile, deriding me and demanding I tell him how it was a scam. I, diplomatically, replied that I was neither under the impression it was a scam nor impugning his integrity: I simply do not deal with Level 0 accounts. I stated that, as my account is quite valuable (and many of my friends have suffered from being more cavalier with their own), I would rather wait the seven days while he trades the cases to his primary account, then to me.

Rather than accept this arrangment, which is still a colossal deal for him as he's...
1) Paying a quarter of the retail price for the game!
2) Paying less than a third of what it is available for on third-party sites, including the grey market.
3) Merely waiting another 7 days atop the 22 he'd already endured just to merit a reply.
4) Under no pressure as I'd made it quite clear I was willing to proceed at his convenience.
...nevertheless, SIMP's animosity increased with an immediate torrent of insults, followed by a "gtfo."

I have, as my reputation attests, always attempted to comport myself in a kind and generous fashion when dealing with other users. Furthermore, I've had several hundred undocumented trades with users who are already on my friend's list. In all that time, I've never met someone who behaved in such a puerile manner nor with so little courtesy.

Do NOT trade with this user.

-rep. We all know what happened with Battle Edition of Black Ops 4 from Humble Bundle Monthy. Same thing happened to me and every single person from whom I bought BO4 have given me the new, Standard Edition instead of Battle one or at least gave me my keys back. I didn't trade with you, but it's obvious that you're scammer and I have to support okcerS97 and agk90.

Details about what happened: https://imgur.com/a/FRFORVo

We traded my 9 keys for his Assassin's Creed: Origins + Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Battle Edition.
On 29th May there have been changes to COD:BO4 Battle Edition by Humble Bundle - people who redeemed gift links of that game but afterwards didn't redeem it to their account basically had a blank copy, it's "returned" to the original owner's account and changed to COD:BO4 Standard Edition. In my opinion a huge mess made by Humble Bundle.
It's a really big thing, every bigger trader had problems because all of us needed to contact people who we dealt with in order to get a copy of COD:BO4 SE we already paid for.
Now, I didn't have any problem with people I contacted about this until it came to contacting this person. As you can see in the screenshots above:

  1. He saw that I'm selling copies of AC:Origins for 7.5 keys (which was counted as 5 keys in a deal me and him made) so he wanted me to send 1 more key to him for that. (Why? We've made a deal for 5 keys so now if I'm selling for more you want more keys? Doesn't make sense to me.)

  2. I offered him to either give me the copy of COD:BO4 Standard Edition which I basically already paid for, but since Standard Edition also includes zombies and Battle Edition doesn't, it adds to the value of the game, so I also said he could just send me back the keys I've sent to him and it would be okay with me. I understood his point that he can get more keys for it than we originally agreed on. He just said it's not his problem and that he doesn't want to send me the game.
