His review says I redeemed his keys and then “failed to provide” my games, but leaves out roughly 10 attempts over more than two weeks to complete the trade. He would message me, I’d stop working and respond within about 60 seconds, and then he wouldn’t answer for days. I wasn’t asking him to be online 24/7. I was responding when he contacted me and repeatedly trying to finish the exchange.

He also extended the trade himself beyond his site’s normal time limit. Being the admin shouldn’t mean he can keep extending a trade and expect me to stay available indefinitely. I had already told him I had very little time to trade, and I don’t think I was obligated to keep trying forever while he continued to be unavailable.

Since I had already redeemed his keys, I went out of my way to buy replacement keys for him. I didn’t just take his games and walk away. I made repeated attempts to deliver the original games, then bought replacements when coordinating with him went nowhere.

His response was to put me on probation because he wanted the original games, which nobody else on his site was offering. From my perspective, that was retaliation for ending a trade he wanted to keep extending. He left out both my repeated attempts to complete the exchange and the replacement keys, then used that incomplete story to call me a scammer.

At that point, I was frustrated and spoke my mind. I mistakenly thought I had already been banned and lost access to my Lest balance. My criticism came after the repeated delays, the replacement keys, and the probation. His review leaves out that sequence.

The idea that I was just using his site for free and talking behind his back also leaves out our history. My previous review of him was positive and specifically thanked him for his work on the website. I had defended him when others criticized him and offered him free games, including after an earlier probation dispute involving pricing. I suspected that earlier dispute was actually about comments I’d made about Lest, though I can’t know that for sure.

He’s the only person I’ve had this kind of issue with while trading. From our first interaction, he called me a scammer and said I should give him my keys for free because I hadn’t earned them. Receiving review copies doesn’t mean I’ve put no time or effort into this, and it doesn’t make those copies stolen. I follow through with developers and provide a service through a hobby I spend my own time on. I’ve also tried to be fair in trades, often offering extra games from my side.

And yes, I find the “you got them for free” argument hypocritical. His offer included $5 in Lest, a currency he creates himself. He previously told me he creates a few hundred dollars’ worth a month. If he uses newly created Lest to acquire users’ keys, I think it’s fair to question what that means for the people left holding that currency. He expects people to appreciate the hours he spends on his website, but dismisses the time I spend working with developers. Using his site for free doesn’t mean I owe him unlimited availability or free games.

Across our four or five conversations, I’ve repeatedly felt belittled and accused of things, often right out of the gate. I tried to keep things civil and resolve the trade, but eventually I got tired of having my time wasted and being treated that way. He can decide who uses his website, but that doesn’t make his account of this trade accurate.

I’m asking for the review to be removed because its central accusation leaves out what I did to resolve the situation: repeated attempts to complete the trade, followed by buying replacement keys at my own expense. You can disagree with how I expressed my frustration afterward, but those facts shouldn’t be left out to paint me as a scammer. He also mentions my attempt to resell my keys when he's the one that sent the trade and couldn't follow through after weeks. He's not upset about whatever he accuses me of, he's upset that he didn't get his way.
