We traded for his copy of COD:BO4. Recent thing done by Humble Bundle was to withdraw every copy of the game that hasn't been redeemed to a Blizzard account back to the original owner. So he is left both my keys (or games, I honestly can't remember what we traded) and COD:BO4.
I wanted to sort this out by offering him to give me the game or to keep it and return the keys, as I think those two are rational choices. Since he wasn't my friend on Steam anymore, I added him and wrote on his thread that thread why I did that - http://prntscr.com/nvmggt
