I looked at acolis's steam profile and he is correct, an impersonator scammed me. I thought I had checked but clearly I was wrong. Changed to positive feedback. If you are contacted on steam by acolis, make sure it is actually him and not an impostor.
I think it is ironic people want "evidence" in an age when it is so easy to forge your own evidence using Paint.NET, GIMP, Photoshop, etc. Even with evidences it's a he said she said argument.
Things to be wary of:
- Person you contacting on Steam w/o leaving a message on SteamTrades
- Person claiming to be using secondary account
- Person demanding that all your items be sent before he sends any of his
Very nice and friendly buyer. Helped me through the process of sending him 4 copies of ARMA 3 for $112 USD via PayPal.me – except he never paid once he received the games. I should've known better. As a new user on SteamTrades.com I make an ideal target to scam.
I've since delete my Steam account, but not because of this. I deleted my Steam account because I found that games were simply too addictive.
