I dont see any scammimg attempt.. In his perspective you could just take the game and leave, in your perspective he could take cards and also leave.. You both vere - SUSPICIOUS. Key is always a risk, if you go first you might not get game key, if he goes first the game key might be revoked in some time.. If game key was revoked and that trader is honest - he may refund you. Otherwise even trading keys with high rep traders is ALWAYS AND I MEAN ALWAYS IS A RISK -EVEN IF HE GOES FIRST.

Steam Trading Policy:

https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=9958-MJDG-3003

"Trading items/gifts for CD Keys. You cannot add a CD Key into the trade window. CD Keys that are offered can be for a different game, fake, used or region restricted. A common example of this trade is trading items/gifts in return for a promotional CD Key that is never given to you."

-Steam basically says that if you got scammed in trading game keys - THATS ITS YOURS AND ONLY YOURS FAULT BECOUSE STEAM INFORMS YOU ABOUT THAT!

refusing to LEAVE a comment on thread or link your profile is not a clear sign that someone wants to scam you? sure buddy lol ... you talk about keys but that's not even the point of this convo.

I agree with you on that. The fact he refused to leave a comment is very suspicious, if his rep was fine then you likely wouldve been willing to give him the key first, it really seems like a scamming attempt.
