Use this to search ST.

It didn't show me something different from the search that is used here. But I appreciate your commitment.

That's OK, I've seen this post come up many times, was hoping this could help! :)

Thanks for the tip, it actually searches the bodies of the posts, unlike the vanilla steamtrades search.

You're welcome. My friend is working on the presentation, we'll start properly spreading it when it's complete.

Actually it's perfectly usable (and presentable to my tastes) in this form. If you add more, it will just take more time to load and render. What it probably needs is a link to the developer and an add banner if you have to pay for hosting. But I am a developer myself so my criteria for usability and presentability probably differ from most people.
Edit:
Also is there a way to say that you are looking for the whole word, for example "Ys" without "keys" in results?

This was just a quick script I made for myself and then shared it with a few friends. It's kept light and without a design on purpose because I'm working on a proper site.
The search is based on MySQL LIKE %KEYWORD%. I prefer the partial match of words. That's why "ys" will also show "keys".

This way if I search for keys worth between $1.70 and $1.79, I just have to type in 1.7, without any 3rd digit and without any currency symbols.
The only workaround would be to put an empty space before or after the keyword, but then again that would only display results where the keyword actually has an empty space before or after, and would not display results where the keyword would be at the beginning or end of a sentence.

Thanks for the info. I think if you are using mysql, you can use RLIKE to use regular expressions for search, which is be more expressive and is possible to look for Ys without keys, but I always have to remember the rules, because I don't use them that often.

Thank you, Riddix! I'm glad someone finally has this game for 4 ref. I swear every time I checked steamtrades, this thread was on the front page. I'll be kinda sad to see it go. May have to revisit the closed thread from time to time and reminisce.
