https://www.steamtrades.com/user/76561197968068718
are you sure thats not the guy you traded with
You know what? I think you're right. Blast, that makes me feel awfully silly. I need to remove the negative feedback right now then.
btw if you gave him a gift link , you can go to humble bundle support and possibly get it back ofc thats against their TOS so they may or may not reset the link
if you gave him a steam key instead ur probably out of luck
Thanks for the heads up. I'll get in contact with them and see if anything can be done. Good thing you were the first replier- otherwise I'd still be here accusing an innocent trader of scamming me :S
Good news! They provided me with a replacement key, and I just finished trading it for stardew valley :) The folks over at Humble Bundle are lifesavers- and thanks for the suggestion! You've been a big help.
Castigator, add me. This user has also pretended to be me in the past, and I have an extra key to warhammer that I was holding on to for a friend, but turns out he already owns it. I think you deserve it! Add me please, and don't let this guy turn you off of trading.
That's very kind of you SlothKing! Honestly, I'd feel bad to take a key from you- you had nothing to do with my mistake and I don't think it's fair for you to pay the price for it. Again though, thank you so much, I appreciate the kind gesture :)
(P.S. If I don't reply, It's because I have to head off in about 5 minutes- sorry!)
I've alerted steamrep and reported a violation on steam, I recommend you to do the same. Go to his steam profile, click more, and select report a violation. Then choose impersonation. :) Link to my report: https://forums.steamrep.com/threads/report-76561197968068718-none-no-items.156470/
(He scammed the user mentioned there in the past)
Good idea- I just finished reporting him myself. Hopefully they can do something about it. I'd hate to think more people could get scammed by this guy.
I also got scammed by the same person. But he took rainbow six and hotline miami 2 from me. So I feel you Castigator. Dont quit trading thought.
Damn, I'm sorry to hear that man; it really is a bummer huh? Well I appreciate the kind words- I'll just have to try and be more vigilant in the future!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xz-UvQYAmbg just to get a smile outta ya :D.
Just a heads up. Sorry bout ya gettin scammed but wanted to share a positive thought. This i assume is the time you have probably gotten scammed but its a normal thing to happen at least once in your trading career. Imo it is something that when you experience you feel like shit ya but you become a better person because you learn from your mistake. Hopefully ya never get scammed again but i hope you continue trading. its a fun hobby and youll prob end up gettin a shitton of games youll never play and make a crapton of $ down the road. This is just a small speedbump on the highway. Stay on track and youll be up there with the greats bro. :D we got your back bro stay vigilant and keep at it. :D You got this man.
ending song for ya :P https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxoo705fvK0
Hahaha, thanks for the help brightening my mood, and for the words of encouragement! :) I'll definitely give trading another shot; I won't let this get me down. If anything, to have made this mistake only makes me wiser to future trades!
If you purchased the humble monthly yourself, contact humble bundle support to revoke the key, provide them reciept # too and also install steam enhanced.
Thanks for that! I actually already got in contact with them and they ended up providing me with a replacement key just moments ago, which makes me a happy guy in the end! On that note, I should close this thread.
EDIT: Nevermind. Imposter. Fooled me real good. This is the actual guy who stole the key: https://www.steamtrades.com/user/76561197968068718
I apologize for initially accusing the actual innocent "CubicPlanet".
