Didn't you find it strange he was in a hurry? Or that he already had a negative rep? Anyways, when you double the amount of rep he has, there is no reason for you to go first. Not to mention his profile isn't public.. did you manage to find out how many games / friends he had?
I was in a hurry at beginning (cause of my sons birthday). I went first because the Oblivion Key was traded and I couldn't check if it's working and I don't wanted to be called a scammer....
The report at steam rep was yesterday made by me after I was scammed. Before that was no report on steam rep. I also reported him to Valve, hope he will be banned. He had 138 Games, and his profile was public, until 12 hours after I spammed him a lot ago, now it's closed.
There were some friends but I think many of them are faked (empty profiles just to give +rep) I found out after beeing scammed. Just look who gave him +rep on this forum, and who gave them +rep. Always the same users giving +rep to each other. If you go to 2nd level most of the +rep-givers, never received any rep, looks like they were just made to give to his different accounts (or scammergang) +rep. Sad this happened at my sons first birthday.
Yeah, I didn't bother reading your entire conversation since the formatting was so bad (err, lack of formatting, actually). But yeah, you should always check where he got his rep from.. and never rush a trade.
I hope you learned your lesson.
It annoys me when people don't format their convos so it looks like a convoluted mess that you can't read.

If you see someone online but they aren't responding, chances are they have you blocked. Go offline then online again and if they are now offline as you sign back in, congrats you are blocked.
He scammed me for my Oblivion GotY Deluxe Key. He posted 4 Keys for Dirt3 and all of them were already used. After asking, he didn´t react at all. Beware of him. F*ing A***.
