It's a Free to Play game, in case you didn't know. Once you activate the key it'll be locked to your account forever. You don't really need it on your want list if you plan on waiting for it's release in 2016. But if you want to play it now, then the beta code is the only way. Your stats and progression wont be reset on release day.
EDIT: Also, the beta code will tie the game to your account, if all you want is the +1 for your collection.
