i had 20 dollar on paypal. He offered me fallout new vegas ue and resident evil 6 (a game i thought was already release, should have check). I was still suspicious so I checked is steam account and he had a huge bunch of good review. I trusted him and has he had more rep than me, i send him the money first. He then unfriended me and he blocked me. I reported him to paypal.
Rep on Steam profiles = meaningless. You can delete negative comments on your wall. Wish you better luck in the future.
Edit: On the bright side, if you are good about evidence paypal will probably deal with him. Make sure to complain loudly to Steam support as well. At least five threads about this guy are open right now and I imagine more lurker-types have been scammed as well. If everyone complains together, you might get him a Steam trade ban as well.

Multiple claims should make it easier to resolve via paypal, steam support, steamrep, and wherever you bought the games if they were keys. If he also has a steamtrades profile, bring it to the attention of the steamgifts mods.
