Their official site claims it's a free demo-ish thingy, which doesn't sound like $2-5 worth to me: The prototype of Jaws of Extinction is part of the main game packaged up as a free standalone version, in order for everyone to have a bite of what we are trying to accomplish in the main open-world game..
