  • Don't trust that fake "+rep" on their Steam Profiles! Scammers have alternate accounts, and they have scammer buddies that work together and giving each other "+rep" on Steam Trades and Steam Profiles too! They are giving "negative -rep" to people which caught them scamming or in similar situations like that! So BEWARE and DO NOT TRADE WITH those scammers listed above or reported with evidence in the thread!
Reporting other types of scams too!
Too much people are getting scammed by "REVOKING DayZ, Rust & Other Games too", the best advice is to BUY them directly from the Steam Store! But if You want to trade keys/items for the game(s) then find high reputable traders on SteamTrades or TF2Outpost! The best advice is to always check their Steam Profile, SteamRep, SteamTrades & TF2Outpost profile! I recommend "Enhanced Steam" for checking everyones Steam Profile in Your Browser! With "Enhanced Steam" the scammers can't impersonate other traders and so on.
Read the comments in this thread, lots of people reported many scammers or scam attempts that are not on the scammer list!

Just for info, i wonder if who traded and got scammed (through steam trade window), has got some refound from steam support, Did you tried to contact them ?

1 decade ago
Permalink

My friend from Steam got a refund from Steam Support, they gave him back his stolen TF2 keys. :)

1 decade ago
Permalink

Thats nice to hear because i bougth a Watch_Dogs copy for 28 keys and got revoked still, waiting a response from support!

1 decade ago
Permalink

You guys know from where i can take legit DayZ Gift?

If u can give me a link to someone with who u traded with..

1 decade ago
Permalink

I would advise to get it yourself, safer and the price is almost the same everywhere...

Or, if you wanna take a shot on trading, search for some REALLY trustworthy traders and get it for the 'safe/fair' price, which would be between 14-16 keys, depends of the country of the trader.

1 decade ago
Permalink

I think that this guy should be cool : http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198017962087. He wants 15 keys

1 decade ago
Permalink

yeah, he is a great guy.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Sensei FelipeMC, do u sell DayZ ? that's will be cool

Since u are high rep, people can easy to find the trusted seller of this game ;)

1 decade ago
Permalink

Well, actually I can, but price in Brazilian Store is not the best out there to be honest (16 keys; 78 BRL), as there are some trustworthy traders around here selling safe/clean copies of it for 15 keys.

1 decade ago
Permalink

You can't get DayZ cheaper, RU's and BR's prices are just a few Cents less

1 decade ago
Permalink

I'm trading it
the reason i gots no rep is cuz I'm new

Permalink

Also, look at his friends, He has lots of alternate accounts for sure.

1 decade ago

Yes, and maybe scammer buddies!

1 decade ago

Dam, steam should ban these people.
This guy has been scamming lots of people for a long time, including me, look in here and steam didn't do anything about it...
He has also revoked DayZ -.-

Thanks for reporting him! I saw that you got scammed too by "revoking" DayZ Steam Gift(s). :/

1 decade ago
Permalink

btw i was scamming by u mammut

1 decade ago
Permalink

I think mammut was the "reseller" of the game and the real scammer is that guy who bought the game at first. My guess.

1 decade ago
Permalink

yes he was reseller but if u trade a gift from third person u take all resposibility if not u r just a scammer same one who revoke a game.

Take it for what you want - but I notice all of the scammers listed in this thread are all big Dota2 guys, most with hundreds if not thousands of hours of gameplay. Is there something about that game that drives people to this scamming?

1 decade ago
Permalink

They're many "idlers" in games, so how many hours is someone played something doesn't mean that he can't be a scammer. And these scammers are not even close to "big Dota 2 guys". Look at their Steam Profiles: almost no games, no real friends only scammer buddies or alternate accounts, they doesn't have a trading reputation on Steam Trades, Tf2outpost, etc.. If they have any that's all from alternate accounts and scammer buddies!

Thanks, just out of curiosity: why are these keys getting revoked a couple of days after the activation?

1 decade ago

What keys? Revoking happens when the buyer makes a chargeback, he gets his money back and your game is revoked from your account.

(I meant the keys you mentioned in the OP). Oh that sucks, thanks for the info, already blocked all those users

One day youll log in and youll get a message saying the game has been removed from your library because of an invalid payment registration

1 decade ago
Permalink

but i can i preview it before trade with the person?

1 decade ago
Permalink

Hmm what do you mean? everything will go normal until you recive tht message

1 decade ago
Permalink

Sadly, you can't recognize it, but a good policy would be to avoid the temptation for offers 'too good to be true' and trading with shady/suspicious accounts, as even 'small' and low priced games are subject for this type of scam.

1 decade ago
Permalink

oh that is so bad, because it is a bug from steam system that able desonest people to scamme others. Thanks for the information.

1 decade ago
Permalink

Pretty obvious scammer too. Only 3 games on his steam account.

1 decade ago
Permalink

I am clean man. I dont need to give satisfaction for you. I have my own work i dont need to be a desonest person and scamme people to earn money. And what is the problem if i just have 3 game om my account. I bought these gifts from one honest seller. And i am preocupated because i didnt know about these kind of scamme. So i asked about it. Thats all. Good lucky.

1 decade ago
Permalink

I am curious, who is that "honest seller" if you don't mind telling. Go search every Trading Websites you will see that Rust's lowest price is 6 keys. And a lot of scammers are giving Rust for 5 keys and that's why people are suspicious. I and everybody else has their right to be suspicious about a trade/trader.

1 decade ago
Permalink

I wasn't even talking about you... Some people, lol.

1 decade ago
Permalink

that is ok. I know he is honest because i bought COH2 and other games from him and i had no problems.

1 decade ago
Permalink

I will take your word for it. :P

1 decade ago
Permalink

bump. does Steam blacklist the PayPal account and the Steam account which did a charge-back or used a stolen credit card?
or will the scammer purchase again from the store normally and scam more people?!

I can't believe how steam is dealing with poblems like these with little care. It's not the fault of the user who used steam trading system "like intended" to trade for a "normal copy of a game" and traded his expensive virtual items for it. It's the fault of valve in first place and they should deal with. why can't they reverse the trade and just ban the scammer?!!

STEAM is in on the scam :))
I got refunded once for buying DayZ for 12 dota2 keys from a respectable user but the game got revoked, i bought it again for 13 keys from even a more +rep user http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197974957281 and got revoked as well. This is the answer i get:
"The games you received via trade were purchased fraudulently and removed from your account.
Since we have recently restored items lost in a similar trade, we will be unable to restore any items in this case.
As stated previously, please be more careful when trading."

If they refunded that game, you can ask for whatever you traded for it back. That;s why I avoid steam keys when trading for expensive games.

Permalink

Yes, always trade within the Steam Trading window. It's safer than trading with steam keys and paying later with PayPal. Thanks for the bump too :)

Permalink

In these cases Steam Refunds you for only once, if you ever trade for steam gifts and they get revoked, they won't refund you again!!
Fuck Steam.

I don't know if they will refund you the second time but if not that's a bit lame from them.
