Sorry i'm not sure what GamersGate is or how it works and i would prefer it to be on steam so I can keep it in my inventory or trade it if I want to.

It's located at http://www.gamersgate.com.
After you created an account on their site you can buy/add games to your library there.
There is no client to download - you just download the game and install it on your pc.
