Coming from someone new who has already fallen victim to this, I bump in agreement.
The account who downvoted me is +0/-26 and suspended, all due to unmerited downvoting, and now everyone thinks I'm scamming and I never even got to use this service =,(
I imagine they are more likely to prey on the new legit traders with only a few (or no) reps at all. But mods really should have the power to clean up a downvote given by someone who gets marked on steamrep.
The good thing with a veteran account is that nobody really cares if you have a negative or not. It is nice to have a clean account, but I would never even consider an account like yours being risky just because of one downvote. if anything, it gives me a chance to find the downvoter and block them so I never deal with them
This is an open letter to anyone that can help.
I have noticed a new theme here on steamtrades - random accounts give false negative rep then blackmail you into giving them something or they won't remove it. I, too, have fallen victim to one of these trolls.
I would like to publicly thank the mods for suspending them, but we face a problem: after they are suspended, they cannot remove the negative rep. The false negative rep sticks on our accounts indefinitely. Some of us have worked hard to make a name by having perfect rep here on steamtrades. Others like myself have over 100, 125 or even 160+rep with 0 negative rep.
My question is this, what can we do to remove the negative rep these troll accounts have hit us with? Where can we report these false negative comments from traders that have a history of trolling?
