You need either UNUSED Steam key (in form of XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX), Steam gift (tradable/giftable item in your Steam library), or equivalent gift on a 3rd party store (such as Humble Bundle gift links, which in the end will reveal as Steam keys when they're used).
Tl;dr you can't trade away games you have in your library - ever. Only those in your inventory or as Steam keys.
