You are not buying the pack, just opening it and giving back the extra copies.
couldnt you just open it and then trade the 1 gift..? i dont have any keys and id just wanna buy 1 not 5, cause id never end up using the other 4
When you "open" a 4 pack it adds one of the 4 copies directly to your game library--it cannot be traded. The other 3 copies are added to your inventory. When you return those three copies, you get your collateral back.
Also, you can only open a 4 pack if you don't already have the game in your library.
