I'm also from Germany and want a UNCUT Version of Bioshock for the obvious reason. If you gift me your tradable bioshock, will it be UNCUT for me (as we are both from germany)?
Yes it will be uncut as that setting is stored in the gift and not dependent on your location. The reason I got an uncut version of BioShock is the result of an issue I had with my BioShock Infinite preorder and Steam Support gave me this uncut gift as compensation for my troubles.
Thanks and sorry that I have to bother you again without making any offer yet, but maybe you can help me: I also bought the Bioshock Infinite Preorder, but from Gamersgate.co.uk. and not from Steam. Bioshock 1 is also included in this PreOrder but only as a SteamKey. Even though this is propably an UNCUT-Key (because bought from UK-Shop), when I activate this in Germany I will only get the CUT version, right? Thanks again.
If you activate an uncut key you will get the uncut version. The information about cut/uncut is always stored in the gift/key and never in your account.
So if the gamersgate key is uncut, then you will get an uncut BioShock.
