Warning Please Read (Impersonating)

Last bump before sleep.

Yes I was scammed by him as well.

Looks like I was almost hit by the same scammer. He tried to send me some money by Paypal for a game, but Paypal transactions can be disputed and I think that if I had sent him the game, that is what he would have done and I would have had no recourse.

The account that he wanted to trade from was private, so no one can see any information on it. The other account is a public one, that shows all positive rep. He tried to pass them off as the same account.

Here is how you can make sure that you are looking at the correct account:

1) Click on the username in Steam chat, choose "View Steam Profile."

2) Right-click on the profile page and choose "Copy Page URL." This works for private profiles too.

3) Compare with Steamtrades' "Steam Profile" URL and make sure they are the exact same.

In my case, it was http://steamcommunity.com/id/eltolad/ vs. http://steamcommunity.com/id/Eltolad_/

He has many accounts I'm pretty sure he added me like 5 times yesterday on different accounts and one he faked his own rep. Gave himself rep in the last damn hour with accounts with no games.

Pretty sad that Steam will drag their feet and MAYBE give a trade probabtion to one of his accounts. Hell, just see his alts via his IP (unless he masks somehow) and ban him. Jesus, Steam y u no care about us?
