Thank you very much for this information. Report posted. The scammer is now posting negative marks on my account. 4 other people he has traded with that I have talked to via steam have said there keys are giving them the same problems.
I'm on his friends list, at first (2 weeks ago) I was planning on buying bf4 off him, glad I found another trader in the meantime. After I read about him scamming (on his topic) I asked him about it but he ignored me...
I know, I know, it's my fault for trading for a key. Traded a COD:Ghosts gift for BF4 key. The game activeted through battlelog at first, but when it didn't come up in origin now that it's out, I contacted Origin and they said the key was just for a goldpack, not for the actual game. Tried to contact ToxicF3AR, but he closed his thread when I called him out, block communication from me on steam from my own account and a friends when I tried to message him.

EDIT 2: 3 years later and the guy contacted me! Appologixed about before. Said the keys were given to him under false description. Offered me a $20 gift card to help make up from before. Pretty cool to get some resolution to this so long after.
