Valve are now instituting restrictions on KEYS purchased on the Steam market (as well as things like TF2 items). The new restriction is a week long delay before ANY of these items are tradable/marketable.

Basically what this does is those of us who trade for keys and buy them on the market, won't be able to complete said trade for a time period.

This applies to CSGO keys and Dota2 keys as well.

The restriction is mentioned on the market page for the TF2 key (as well as CSGO and Dota2 keys) right now, but its unclear when exactly it will go into effect.

This was to stop the price of keys falling during sales. It is an attempt to squeeze as much profit as they can out of the market. But this will end with less trading instead and less profit overall in the end i think.

Potentially less. Paypal traders will be making a killing now.

It will likely stagnate the key market. Those who buy keys to buy games via trade wont be so inclined to anymore, forcing them to outside sellers. Its just going to make whats become a standard trading system more difficult.
