If the previous method worked, it was due to a bug that was resolved with the formatting library. Another change I noticed is regarding lists. If you have nested lists, you need to always indent them with 3 spaces. In the past, it would automatically nest them if they were directly on the next line. You can also start numbered lists with any number now.

Yes it worked like that before, i copied it from my thread after i found its broken. After reformating it works agin. Looks like everything in formating works.
Also if i can ask for something, i know its long shot. Blacklist function would be very nice so people can manage their threads and interaction around site. Blacklisted user would not be able to comment in your thread, reply to your comments anywhere around site so people can get rid of generic spammers and other annoying users or someone they just don't want to interact with (or whatever reason). Its total anarchy here and people abuse it because they know we cant do anything with it. It would save us lot of nerves and time.
Iam sure it would help to majority of active users here.
I was able to get several games at an incredible price thanks to this amazing website! There's basically nothing negative about it, however there are only 2 things that it would be amazing to be added, which would be;
- A support system, where we can make a ticket to make a report about a user or smth like that;
- A blacklist, where we can just blacklist someone if we don't like them, to never be able see or interact with them ever again, and also making us invisible to them, so a comunication would be near impossible.
That's basically all I have as a request, thanks again for making this website!
Some real improvements would be to have a butto on the top of each thread that lets you scroll down to the want list (html-anchor) and a back to top button. The endless scrolling on long lists is a chore, especially on mobile.
Thanks for the suggestion. I added the shortcuts. They will only appear when necessary and for the relevant sections that exist.
Edit: The shortcuts have been removed and replaced with Show more and Show less buttons for the have and want sections.
Wow, thanks for the quick turnaround. But now that it's implemented, I feel like I have to do 2 extra clicks on each thread. Maybe a shortcut solution is smoother as it keeps the design as its been for the past 10 years, without hiding stuff.
I agree with falloutdude in that shortcuts seem like a better solution only because there are so many long lists on this site and hiding 90% of the text in every one by default feels very different and perhaps not ideal. Here is an example of what it could look like, while not very aesthetic:
In addition, please make the comments page (as there are several pages of comments in most threads) default to the last page and most recent comments instead of the first page of comments. The vast majority of the time these will be more relevant for both the commentor and the thread OP.
EDIT: Also, in addition I think one extra line of CSS can make the shortcuts into a smooth scroll instead of a jarring jump-to-position. But I can't help you further than that, I just know it isn't much more difficult to implement.

Its good but i agree with falloutdude. Its extra click or two everytime in every single thread. Its not really ideal this way. This is like magnet on people who spam their comments without reading a sh*.
Maybe will be better if in default its shown completly and when user want he can click "show less". But well here is since ever "-" button that hide whole post, thats basically same function and scrolling is minimal.
Would be cool if there would be an option were you can decide if you want to have the list shown fully or not. It might be quite bothersome to go through lists like that

Can the API be used to create a notification system?
As far as I can tell, there's a /users endpoint that is used to get user reputation.
I have been testing a Telegram bot to do that. It checks the homepage every couple of minutes to notify users of replies and offers.

I am not sure if its good that you always have to press to show the whole lists of have and want. Makes it much harder to work with
I am now seeing an automatic "Show more" link in longer posts to expand the hidden text. This is very annoying when browsing the many long trade threads. Also, most people might miss out on the full content of the thread if they don't notice the small "Show more" link or don't bother to click on it. Please disable this feature or make it optional with syntax!
Its smart for site performance to always hide massive lists initially.
But, it does make a bit of a hassle for looking through the main thing we use this part of the site for "look through trade lists"
What would be nice is to have a trade "offer" system like barter used to have.
Nowadays the site is flooded with fake reputation reviews over trades that never happened.
Having offers, and accepting or declining offers would ensure that reputation can only be given for actual trades done "here".
I can see that being a lot of work to implement however.
I kinda wish steamtrades had some type integration with lestrades, so if someone comments or I search for game, I could still see matches after clicking it instead of list of 500 games that I have to check manually

I've been working on a number of infrastructure and code improvements the past week that went live yesterday. They're aimed at modernizing the codebase, improving performance and stability, and keeping things secure.
Additionally, a couple of weeks ago the site was moved behind Cloudflare to mitigate bot traffic and improve reliability, and a public API was made available at https://api.steamtrades.com for those needing programmatic access to user feedback.
