I'll take an objection here. Yes, they can be gotten for free. No, there isn't anything wrong with them that justifies them getting blacklisted. The source of the keys is legitimate and is indeed giving them out free on purpose.
always makes me chuckle, seeing all your clickies. so many inventive ways of saying "i'm the boss"
but to polish residents only.. and the majority of people are using vpns to get those keys.. i'm sure that breaks a TOS somewhere on that site (=
While some are legitimate, some aren't. It's better to not risk anything and just straight up not have them around than to have them be spammed to 1000000000000000000000000000 threads with people trying to get rid of good or bad ones.
Of course, some people would object for obvious reasons....
What do you mean some are and some aren't? All of them that you'll see on this site for the immediate future will be from one exact same source. They are either all good or all bad.
If you actually bought it, we have no issues with you submitting a key as a giveaway or trade. All we need is proof of that.
to promote chaos edition any blood bowl game/cdkey can be activated on steam or used to get the 67% off. game include blood bowl-BB darkelf edition-BB legendary edition.

Yep. I realize there aren't that many BB fans here, but for those that are grabbing a free key is worth it for the the new edition discount alone. I already got mine sitting in the bag.
Nope. Whether they're good or bad depends on whether the person who got the key had the right to.
Why?
Some people (either those who buy the magazine or all residents of Poland, I don't know) are intended to get it (once), so if they decide to trade their key, it can't be considered exploited.
Then again, it's possible that the keys are provided only for personal use, but I have no easy way of finding that out.
Because a key is just a code for activation of a valid game license. These were bought in bulk from the publisher and distributed by the magazine for free. Just because the 'wrong' people nabbed them, and regardless of any intent, doesn't mean the licenses themselves are bad.
There are definitely some real exploited keys for various games around obtained via fraudulent purchases, key file leaks, and distributor misappropriation. None of that has occurred here, IMO. Although the administration of this site feels differently, and I can understand their need to guard themselves again any possible liability.
There's a big difference between logging into a site and getting a code you're allowed to get and using a proxy to fool the site into letting you take a code. The means of appropriation certainly affect whether a key is valid.
The same thing happened when Dirt 3 keys were leaked by AMD. Keys that people got by the intended means were allowed to keep them, while those that were leaked were revoked. Another example is the PuppyGames birthday promo. People who only took 1 free Steam key were allowed to keep it, those who took more had them revoked.
Just because a key is "valid" (as in, it successfully activates a license) when it is taken/traded/activated, doesn't mean something won't be done about it if it's exploited.
Objection: What if someone provides proof that they're a polish resident and legally acquired the keys sans VPN/proxy? Since they acquired it without any shady business, they should be able to trade away their key.
One account per Household. I can clearly see how they wont break this rule :)
Since it's only for those who bought the magazine, proof of purchase is the only thing required.
To the best of my knowledge, you don't need to buy the magazine to actually receive a code. I though on their website it said all you need is to be a Polish citizen to receive one.
On the technical side, you only need to have a polish IP. But technically these keys are for the people who bought the magazine.
The system to get these keys is flawed - it doesn't actually check whether you bought the magazine or not. But yes, there is an IP check - I think it also allows to get only one key/each IP.
Meh I don't see why people are getting so jacked up about this, said site has been around for years and I've got my fair share of keys - mainly GFWL keys for the older games, there has been plenty of beta keys there too including World Of Warplanes.
Which beside the point is that Bloodbowl has been listed on there for so long, only now yesterday they have taken down the ability to get a key so there's nothing to worry about now.
What about the keys that are bought from Russian key websites for cheap and trade here like normal?
It might be better to make it mandatory as there are many people doing that. They only list it keys while not providing the origin of them.
It is mandatory, any key for this game that doesnt provide a proof of purchase is considered exploited and brings a suspension ;)
No I don't mean this particular game.
I mean the keys of games that can bought for cheap from Russian key sites in general.
No but I mean people trade or sell those keys like ROW keys without stating the fact they are RU keys.
In my opinion, it's also dishonest and kind of scam.
Yes it is, and if they do that screenshot the chat, although if you are trading in keys there are no guarantees of what you will get. If you dont want any risk stay away from keys altogether and stick to tradeables.
If you lie about RU keys and there's a negative impact, there will be punishment.
I got traded one of those before someone else warned me about them. And to think I could have stolen my own key... :P
They were removed too quickly form Steamgifts. When I see a large number of giveaways for the same thing, that's usually my cue that some cheap/free keys are going around. That's usually how I notice new bundles being released too.

Whenever i hear about some exploited game, this guy is the first trying to trade it. He did it before with Supreme Commander Forged Alliance from that Polish site and now he's doing the same thing with Blood Bowl (and i can bet that those A Valley Without Wind copies he's offering are from keygen)
Not really exploited, unless the mods decide to require the Proof of Cereal. ;)
But annoying as fuck. They come from an Ecuadorian promo apparently, EA gave them a metric shit ton of keys to give away with a cereal promo. Every beggar is spamming them now.
They're just as exploited as the bloodbowl ones surely?
Keys that were intended only for people from a certain country who purchased a certain item. Then everyone gets them for free and tries to trade them. Pretty much identical.
Maybe. I don't know anymore what the powers that be decide to decree as "exploited". Perfectly good keys get banned, but crap like defrauded IGN Prime keys and fake FM 2013 is allowed to circulate freely.
I don't think these FIFA 10 keys require a proxy to sign up for, but I haven't really tried since I have no interest in the game.
If we find any exploited IGN keys, we'll allow them. As for the cereal promo, unless there's some proof that people who didn't buy the cereal got it, then it's not considered exploited, but it's trade value should drop like a brick.
i think this thread must be closed because you can't get more keys from there, and anybody is offering them at the momment.
These keys are currently exploited (if you don't know where, I'm not saying. No need to expand on the exploitation) and may be considered virtually worthless.
Do not trade for Blood Bowl: Legendary Edition keys that do not come with a proof of purchase.
Giftable copies are fine, but any keys will be assumed to be exploited unless proof of purchase is provided. I will be suspending anyone who attempts to trade one (please report them here).
