Had a problem with an impersonator months ago and Steam Support didn't even bothered to read my ticket, they just replied with a lazy copy/paste non-related with my request... Then I spammed the shit out of them on reports until the bastard gets a trade ban.
I reported him here and on SG's Support, but seems they're seriously flooded with tickets, so it's taking quite longer to someone replies there as well.
I supported a ticket on Steam asking to close his profile for trading. Let see what they say me.
He wanted to scamm me, and he gave me a negative for reporting him.
free bump, and my 2cents for all the new traders around here. always ALWAYS check the steamtrades profile of the person you are dealing with. never NEVER just take a link to this profile from the person you are trading with always look for it yourself because he can link you to any profile he wants and impersonate another user. Download enhanced steam for quick access to the persons steamtrades profile and never use the steam comments as a reference because those can be manipulated easily. word of advise, when you accept a friend request from a person that has not posted anything on your steamtrades trading thread always think they are scammers until proven otherwise. never trade with anyone who has a private profile, or anyone who wants you to log-in somewhere else, or who says something fishy. there is no reason for a legit trader to have other accounts or other methods to trade other than the normal trade gift per key or pp. remember not only can a person scam and steal from you by taking your money or item and running away. they can also use fraud methods of purchase for games and then youll end up with revoked games. use common sense. why would anyone legit need a second steam account to store the gifts if not for fear of loosing his main account? wich brings me to... never trade with someone with a steamprofile that has nearly no games or is made recently. i dont intend to make you paranoid when trading, there is a lot of legit trustworthy people here but there is also alot of assholes looking to cheat whoever they can. be wise.
