I traded for Hearthstone.
I went first with TF2 key.
One hour later when I wanted to get my friend to activate it, it said it was invalid.
He used it after we traded.

Why would you ever go first with someone with only +1 rep? Higher rep should always go second. ESPECIALLY in a key for trade scenario.
Because I was desperate for a key for my friend and because I knew that the -rep left on my profile out of spite would make me have to go first either way.
2nd time I got fucked over by doing this and learned my lesson. Still fucking sucks though. So much.
Yeah, sorry about your luck bro. Personally I've always went by whoever has the highest rep goes first. It's worked out okay thus far. Should be a general rule for everyone to follow. Did you make steamrep report?
Well, I got scammed yesterday as well for the same mistake and did a report but nothing will happen. No reply to the thread or anything. I wont even bother anymore.
