I read alot of people have trouble because they trade with an impersonator instead of the trader they wish to trade with. There is a very simple and bullet proof way to avoid it!
Before you do the final trade you click on the trader you are chatting with (after you add them as friend) and click Add nickname. Type in anything you want here. Then go to the steatrades profile and from there to that persons steam profile (be sure to click on their steamtrades name and then steam profile and NOT any links they post). If the person you added is the same as the "true" trader the second profile will show your nickaname for that person (since it's the same steam profile). If the true trader has no nickname that means you are talking to an imposter.
