SMR is flipping amazing, by the by, definitely give it a try if you're a fan of the genre at all. It's really well done (not counting the matchmaking) and it's tons and tons of fun. Been playing it almost nonstop since I got it a week or so ago.

my only experience so far is with xbox, which again has ridiculously bad matchmaking. it's not so bad if you know some friends who also have it (you could add me if you felt like it!), but i hear the steam version has extra content (including the turrets from portal!) and it all just boils down to your preference, i suppose.

The PC version has Portal turrets? That's really epic. I agree, I like the feel of a controller for that stuff, also, but Portal things give the PC version a leg up. Might end up getting it on the 360 anyway when I have some spare points to blow.
Oh, you might be interested in this. Did you know Bing has a program where you can get free Microsoft points? I can get you a referral link if you like. I'll probably save up points I earn on there to get the game (essentially for free lol)

that'd be cool! gamertag is stiqe, i'm signed up for xbox rewards which is sometimes sort of neat, but the returns are always stupid slow. I tend to sort of hate Bing on principle, but I'm all over freebies. P;

Truth be told, I spam my searches for my points then go back to using Google. And the returns are insanely fast. I'll redeem a 100 point "card" and they'll email me my code within 2 minutes (literally).
