That was very rude of you, by the way. He made me an offer, and I was fine with it. It's not appropriate to 'steal' a trade. Giving a better offer is one thing, but directly jumping in to a conversation and trying to literally take the same offer before the other person has a chance to respond is not cool. You're not new, you should know better.
