EDIT: I misread the message. I had 2 keys and I bought one in G2A from my friend and I got the message that G2A does not work in my country. And until I solved the problem I gave the humble bundle to my friend.
The key to the escapists 2 that worked was that of the Humble bundle. The one I bought from G2A said global but I had region lock I suppose ..
Humble bundle has region lock for escapists 2, that's why it worked in your region. G2a might be of different region, seller's mistake
Being an error of the seller, will they refund the money? If so, do you have any idea if they return it to the card or the G2A balance? Because in the balance of G2A to withdraw it they charge me and I end up losing money ...
Don't worry you'll get your money back to card at zero cost and yes they will refund seller protection is shit in today's world xD
Did it say global when you bought it? If so you can ask for a refund or replacement and show them the screenshot of the region lock when trying to activate your key.
Yes, the key said this exactly. "The escapists 2 global key steam" and the key does not work in Argentina and in some countries of LATAM. I do not know if the key can become fake or something like that. But when I asked for the claim, they gave me 9 days of waiting to chat with the seller, and after 1 day I still did not answer ...
That key may not be global and the seller is lying.

If the seller bought it from any of those stated countries, their key is locked to those regions, if not it's RoW/Global.
