Hello :)

I'd like to introduce you to SteamTrade Matcher (www.steamtradematcher.com), which is a website created to help trading duplicate Steam community items (cards, emoticons and backgrounds) with other traders from the site and your friends easily and quickly.

If you have any questions or comments about the site don't hesitate to share :)

Thanks!

I like, but searching is really slow.
Maybe you can store the scans locally.
If a card is gone the user could say so and a rescan would occur. All in all I think it would be faster ans save time (and probably your bandwidth).

I like it, it helped me get rid of a couple of duplicates so far. I agree with Menacer about the scan speed, but it's not a big issue.

I'm going to upgrade the server very soon so cached inventories should load up much faster. Now the only thing missing is Steam being faster too ;)

how does this work exactly? Is it just a trade site or does it view your actual badge progress?

This site is really well made, scripted. The speed is good aswell.

The site is good and this thread deserves a bump! However, could you please add some filters (for example to search only cards and ignore backgrounds, etc) and enable cross-games cards trading. I think it would be a good idea.

You can already filter results, look at the bottom right of the scanner page :)

And cross-set trades are not something I plan implementing for now. I'd have to find a way to keep trades fair which would be quite difficult.

Thanks for your reply. Filter works fine. And as for cross-set trades and keeping them fair, did you consider possibility to check cards prices on the market (it could be resource consuming though)?

Well using the cards prices could do the trick but the issue is that the person who receives the trade offer would have to check every time if the trade is indeed fair or if the sender is trying to make profit. Within same set trades you know it's always going to be fair.
