Always check the rep of whoever you're trading with on steamrep.com and never trust profiles linked by the other party but rather click the arrow beside their name and go to their profile yourself to check if they're impersonators.
Sorry for your loss, try sending a steam support ticket and see if they can do something about it, in rare cases they gave back the game to the original owner.
