Giftable means bought with a new account. Bought with new account usually means chargeback .....
I just traded a giftable copy of Dishonored to this guy. I'm not a scammer and do not do "charge-backs". If you look at my SteamGifts profile, you'll see I've given over $700 worth of games for people (with no incentive to do so) and have 100% positive feedback. Other than that, like my thread says, I also have a key (again American store bought) but most people don't like trading for keys and neither do I.
Anyway, believe what you like. There are others in my thread that are interested so it doesn't really matter.
P.S. My account was created on May 4, 2008 so I have no idea what you're talking about in regards to "new accounts"...
Update: Just traded my copy to this fellow so this discussion is moot.
It was the word you said pal, that's why I missed to trade you what you suggested. Giftable and tradeable are different things, the first one, which you said Dishonored was, cannot be put in a trade window for 30 or 60 days, this acting as a precaution for new accounts. Tradeable is the normal game gift, which I suppose was the thing you meant.
Sorry, I didn't know there was a difference between the terms "giftable" and "tradable" and used them interchangeably since I assumed they were synonyms. (After all, in the Steam inventory, Steam items are divided into "gifts" and games without images are listed as "Steam gifts".) But, yes, Dishonored and all of the games I listed are tagged as tradable. I didn't know there was a feature that disables Steam gifts from being traded if the account happens to be new. However, that's good to know.
It's unfortunate that we weren't able to trade due to this misunderstanding. That said, tradable copies of Dishonored seem to be one of the more sought after items here, with the result that I've acquired another copy for the express purpose of trading for the remaining games I'm looking for.
