Trades are not going to be completely equal because I need some way of making it worth my time to trade with anyone as well as reducing the amount of usless cards I get in trades. If you think that your item is worth a good deal more than mine then feel free to send the trade offer with an explanation to this effect and I will look into it using the community market, if your card is worth enough then i might even be willing to accept 1:2 trade for non foils.
