We can create an unofficial SteamTrades community group for trusted/successful traders. Still a rule of thumb, don't trade with any random person. Look up his profile, on Steam and SteamRep. Also Google to be safe. But it isn't a 100% foolproof way, practice common sense.

PermalinkO,o yeah that would be cool, and also a new trading interface would be apreciated instead the forum looks like, for example through our profiles would have a data base with the games we have and the games we wish to connect them with other trades to make tradings more easier and stuff

Just a quick question to CG (if he ever checks these forums- I know the mods don't) and a discussion topic for u guys: when are the user profile pages going to be implemented. Now that the user names are all the same as the ones on SteamGifts, it would be nice if the user profiles were also linked to the SG profiles (showing the date of registration to SG) as this would give some indication of how old the user is on SG and to the main community.
This is necessary, I feel, because now that the invite system is over, anyone can open an account on SG and hence come here as well and unfortunately not everyone means well (there have been some scammers reported and since the mods don't come here, they roam as they please). Also, the possibility that someone might trade a game and issue "chargeback" is ever present, and seeing the threads on SG about someone getting his account suspended when a gift he got in a trade got revoked due to "chargeback" (he got it back afterwards on a one-time basis after he contacted support).
What are your thoughts on the matter?
