This guy constantly creates threads offering games like DOTA 2 and sometimes says he's been scammed before. Don't believe him.

His Steamgifts profile: http://www.steamgifts.com/user/JohnyRrR

His name also appears in the official reports thread (ctrl+f using the following link):

I've been tailing his threads and now he deletes them as soon as I say something in there, but I can't be here 24/7, so I just want to get the word out that he cannot be trusted.

Never saw a successful trade out of the 10 threads he made this afternoon. Going to cast my vote that it's a scam.

If he's scamming people, he needs to also be reported on Steam. He could lose his account :D

Wow, much hate here.
I'm actually not really sure what to believe, I was just in time to see some random guy reply to my offer that he's a scammer, I offered some games for Dead Island. He also only requested Just Cause 2 for it, which is quite the catch for me, so I was very suspicious.

Then the worst happened, he told me that he only have a key. Well, obviously I wasn't going to give him my game, and asked him to send his first. To my surprise, he actually accepted. Into the very second Steam verified the key, I couldn't believe it was real.

So yeah, we have a successful trade, my Just Cause 2 for his Dead Island.
Don't really know what to say, don't let your guard down, but he didn't scam me.

Thing is if it was a leaked Dead Island key (probably is) the game will be removed from your account later but works at first.

Yeah I actually believe so. He didn't activate Just Cause in his steam account, the one I added, and he said "try it" when I sent the key. Also, he only have a valve complete pack, non-tradeable, in his inventory, no coupons or such. Alas, he gifted it to himself and is not allowed to trade, which is a good cover, because the account is new.

Will tell you if the game is removed later. Can I do something about it, if it is?

Can't do anything it just gets removed and Valve does nothing because you aren't supposed to trade for keys. Same thing happened with Dirt 3
