I liked his price, but he didn't said he was offering a steam gift. Basically, when he told he was offering a cd key, after my decliment he gave a negative.

you clearly asked for a gift so ya. contact the mods over at steamgifts and i think they can remove the rep.
where did he say he need a gift ? in his thread isn't nothing wrote about it, only after we talked he went to write he want a gift.
then he started to swear and to have a bad behavior, this is another reason why i gave him -rep.

-Reps shouldn't been given for "time wasting" trades, -rep should be removed in this case.
the fact that he doesn't state it is a gift or a key is evidence of weak trading, normally a seller will Always state what he is actually selling. His statement about inventory is also false because many people have set their gift inventory to private, people visiting an inventory can only see cards/steam items that way. and last but not least: Keys are in most cases worth less than tradable gifts ...
i don't care if trade is done or not. if he didn't started to swear and put stupid questions i could leave and no heart feelings.

Yea, you clearly stated in your thread you wanted a gift. I would have written this off as a misunderstanding with the guy not understanding the difference between keys and tradable gifts, but the fact he's misused feedback because he's not gotten what he wants makes him look like he was just sharking.

Both of you remove your negative reps against each other hahaha as it seems that you are wasting each others time, and you both did not complete a trade so there should be no feedback :P.
When he comes back online just leave him a message asking him to remove your negative, and if he doesn't steamreps will do it anyway :)
Lol why'd there need to be a dispute in the first place? The second you found out it wasn't a gift, just say you were looking for something else, apologize for their time, and leave. There's no reason to tell them how much Rep you have or to stay there any longer, unless you were trying to haggle, which I think you were in the beginning but it was just immature bickering from there. He shouldn't have left you negative rep and really, this could have been avoided so easily.
Yep it could, but basically what happened:
- We decided what price I would by Beat Hazard
- Started trading and I put those 3.5 keys, he accepted
- I thought "wtf?", I asked him where is the gift
- He started telling me that I should have watched his inventory and etc...
- When I told I won't need, basically we started telling those "time wasting" phrases, and then a negative from him lol..

Basically, he is a sharker. He wants 4 keys for a CD key, when you can get a gift for 2-3 keys!
Basically he posted in my thread that he has the game, I accepted the offer and added him as a friend, because I thought he is not dumb that I would give 4 keys for a CD code. He didn't said he was offering a CD KEY and then claimed as I was wasting his time and gave me a negative rep. What do you guys think about this guy? Should I post a thread about sharking in Steam rep?
