uhm, are you sure it was him? There have been plenty of impersonators around. Check your trade history and see if the profiles match up

sorry to hear this, my first 2 experience when i started using steam i got scamed twice in a row by 2 ppl who had pages of "holy" rep. Suggest you keep chat logs open and take screen shots of the conversation or their pms. Then report them to steamrep.com
not much else u can do, but ya i've been scammed more times by the "horder/trader/0 gametime" type than ppl who had no rep but their profile lookedlook like a a gamer.

you'll need more than that to report i believe, should show him claiming key was for the game u wanted and then show the game activated isn't what it was suppose to be.
But ya only way i can help you is by selling you the Assasin's creed 3 at a discount from retail :p about it. If you'd had dealt with me your first experience would have had a good ending.
Looking at your screenshot and checking Majorasmoon78's Steam profile, it looks like they are 2 different person.
The "Majorasmoon78" profile on ur screenshot shows "This profile is private". When you check the real Majorasmoon78 account on Steam, it shows that it is not private. Hence, the scammer could be a imposter of Majorasmoon78.
Do you still have the chat window open? Click on the white arrow on his name and click on "View Steam Profile". Right click on his page and click on Copy Page URL. This should give u the real scammer's Steam Profile Link.
Edit: and yes, ur screenshot should also show the whole conversation. separate into different screenshots if it is too long. you can report this at steamrep.com

You can report it to Steam Support,and no way to geting your item/games back to your inventory
Never trade with someone who has private profile that's all i can help u, no one can bring back your key or gift except u sent it via gift sent(if luckily).
I used to get scam from the impersonator too, its might take some time to climb back to where u were, but don't allow it let u down guy.
I just got scammed by what is called a “worthy” trader on your website. his name and steam name is Majorasmoon78 and scammed my limbo and natural selection 2 for a scribblenauts unlimited key that i never got... please ban this guy and help me. i have proof if needed. FML
