Hello everyone! I'm looking for participants for my study as a part of my bachelor thesis on the topic of lootboxes. I already posted twice last week, and with great success! Last time, I explicitly stated that you can only participate if you are a confident german speaker. Of course, some people used google translator, and as I can't match the data with your account there is no way of preventing it. That of course isn't optimal, as the questions might not be translated the right way. As I can't really enforce a restriction, I will ask you the following: If you really want a game and can only participate with google translator thats ok. Not optimal, for the data, but as I can't do anything about it I'll allow it. But please, if anything in the translated study doesn't make sense or seems off due to automatic translation, contact me before filling it out. I'll update this thread with information about specific questions from the study that might not translate well. Also, please don't discuss the study in the comments. To get optimal data, people should fill out the survey without knowing what is specificly asked in before. If you are interested in my field of study you can ask me after you got your key, I'll try to explain what the goal of the survey is.
One other thing: Last time I mentioned the restriction to participate is to be 18 years old at least. I send out an application to our universitys ethics committee in the mean time, and I got allowed to include participants from 16 an up now.
As I'm working on my thesis, have a part time job and because of the time difference, please keep in mind that I don't have the time to go to this thread every minute. I'll try to reply as soon as possible. If you really want a game, post it in the comments so others know its reserved. You can also DM me before filling out the survey, then I'll can confirm if the game you want is still available. I try to keep the list below updated, but sometimes one can't keep up.
So now the important part: To choose a game from the list below, you have to complete the survey and send me a picture of the last page via Steam.
Hallo zusammen! Wollt ihr eines der oben gelisteten Spiele gratis bekommen? Dabei noch einem armen Studenten helfen seinen Abschluss zu bekommen und etwas für die Forschung tun? Dann könnt ihr an meiner Studie teilnehmen! Das Ganze dauert zwischen 20-30 Minuten und wird selbstverständlich komplett anonym verarbeitet. Einzige voraussetzung ist, das ihr mindestens 16 Jahre alt seid und regelmäßig Videospiele spielt.
