you should trade for cs:go keys and sell them to buy hollow knight yourself since it's cheaper that way.

The other three* I have no idea what are they worth. Probably not much honestly, but trading the witness and one piece would give you enough to sell and buy hollow knight if the price is right by the database.

Hm. I'm from Brazil and here The Witness is around R$72 (that's our currency, Brazilian Reais), Hollow Knight is R$28 and most CS:GO Keys are sold on the market for R$7 to R$9. I don't know, I don't think this is a good deal. I would be giving a R$72 game for R$27 max. That wouldn't even get me Hollow Knight. Maybe this isn't a great deal 'cause my currency is not US Dollars.

Yes, but all in all, most people do not pay full retail prices for games. I imagine you didn't pay $72 for The Witness as it's currently the early unlock for April's HB Monthly and I don't think most people will offer more than $7 (for now) for the game if anyone will even offer that.
I probably just got scammed by this keytonBOT. Is there anything I can do about it? Lol.
I don't.. know.. really. I've never used them, but you can try contacting the bot's owner to see if there is just a delay. Valve won't help because I'm assuming you sent them as a trade with no items in return and all, so I don't think there is really anything you can do in that case.
I talked to the person on steam and she activated the linke but claimed she never got the email. I sent the gift link from humble monthly. FML. lol
Sometimes the links do get delayed. The longest I've seen is maybe an hour or something, or more. Honestly, if that was the real "issue" just say to use the order resender.
It's at the bottom of the HB page. If it doesn't show up there, then I would call bs and suspect you're being lied to. Anything claimed is supposed to show up for your own account so anything in your HB account should have a list of all the games you've claimed.

Tried this resender thing. The Witness is not in there. But I can't claim the code for myself or to anyone else anymore 'cause it says it was claimed already. What is going on D:
the resender only works for the person who claimed the link. once you claim a link, the resender will have every game you've ever bought (I think) and any links you have claimed. you were supposed to tell whoever you gave it to to use it and see if The Witness shows up.
someone either used it or someone is lying, basically.. did you just make it and give it to the user or did you make it as a gift link and it's been there for a few weeks?
you can just ask HB to replace it saying "your friend" is saying it was used and then wait a week or two for a replacement if they really didn't use it, but if you just made the gift link, like seconds or minutes before, I really doubt it was "used"
weird things happen, so maybe they are telling the truth. if they're lying, it will get revoked so they're just wasting everyone's time in that case. also, try changing your hb password just to be safe or something.
I can't ask this person to do anything. First of all she couldn't barley communicate in English and then she got super mad 'cause I was scamming her. Oh well. Ain't life a bitch.

Well, I wouldn't be so hasty to assume it was a scam. You can just wait and see if the link shows up but if they can barely speak English you're already in a tough spot. If they never gave you keys, just write a support ticket to HB and say the gift link showed up used (it does happen, but I usually imagine it takes a week or more if nobody claims it) and wait for a replacement.
so you sort of have nothing to lose if you assume it didn't work.

might want to make a habit of making entire desktop screenshots (I think SteamRep only allows full screenshots or won't accept them) of Steam window chats in case this happens again if you want to report people for it.
though there's no real way to prove a gift link you sent was used from screenshots, so it's your word vs theirs and their word for yours really.
I actually took a few desktop screenshots just in case. Yeah it wouldn't prove I'm not lying 'cause there is no way to guarantee I'm telling the truth but would be a warning to people who want to trade with this keytonBOT 'cause it was almost impossible to understand what she was talking. lol
Btw, I traded with some other guy and he did receive the email. That person deleted her comment here so I'm pretty sure now I got scammed. Do you know how do I track her down? I want to leave a comment on her profile.
if they added you on steam, check your activity or just look in your browser history for recent steam profiles. I didn't realize it was a user in this thread but they had 12/0 so I really want to doubt they would scam you, but maybe..
just leave negative feedback if you strongly suspect you were scammed since they didn't commit to their offer then, but you'll likely be receiving one back.

double edit: user might actually be a scammer trying to take advantage of low rep users by claiming they are the one being scammed. They have a -1 now, so you should probably leave your negative feedback too.. and just get HB to replace your link in the end if you haven't contacted support yet.

So I just saw that -1. Same thing happened to me. The guy said he will contact HB support and so am I. I'm not really sure what to say but I'll definitely talk to them.
I was just looking at the site at the time, but I tried blocking the last user I was friends with and they still show up in my activity.
Maybe it takes time, but I have doubts Steam is set up to hide who you friended with recently. If you're blocked you won't be able to leave a comment on their profile, though, since it's public. So you can leave a comment to check if you're blocked.
Tried to comment but I can't. Tried to add her on Steam again but it says she blocked me. I checked to see if she has activated the game and she hasn't. Maybe so people would think I'm lying or something. I don't know what is going on. Why did she block me and deleted her comments if she is not scamming me? Or maybe something REALLY happened to that code (even if like 2h later I was able to send someone else a gift code). God I hope I'm not saying she is a scammer for no reason.

here's the thing. if you sent a gift link (the one where you need to enter your e-mail) there's no way you can tell what happened to it unless someone confirms it worked for them or HB says your friend did activate it with their e-mail (and I'm not sure they will or can confirm it, but I figure they could check)
you'd probably need their e-mail to even mention that to HB, though. the only thing HB will do, assuming you only mention your friend said it was used, is revoke it and give you a new link.
they probably blocked you thinking you were trying to scam or blocked you because they wanted to scam you, or maybe something else. I don't know.
again, there was no way for you to scam the user at all.. you send the link first, and then they trade you keys. It's pretty simple.
I think I asked, but did you just make The Witness into a Gift Link right before sending it, right? I seriously doubt it was used if you made it one right before sending.
Yeah. I clicked the gift and send the link right away. Exactly same thing I did later with the other dude and worked just fine. It would be really weird if only this particular key didn't work or something.
Anyway, probably the best thing to do is to wait HB reply my ticket.
