I wouldn't trust him, some of his rep comments on his profile seems odd, like both are saying they went first. And he claims to own expensive games but he only has cheap ones on his account. And all are keys, no gifts.
Haha I knew it. He said he would give me - feedback if I didn't trade my games for one he didn't have in inventory or on a list, but supposedly has, so I called him a thief.

Neither had I til I got fucked my first time trading with someone who by all rights seemed legit. I learned my lesson pretty fast after that =P Don't rely on it too heavily, if someone has not reported a scammer they won't yet be on there. Always the chance you're the first target of a new scumbag.
Yeah, I learned a hard lesson from a guy who wanted 2 Borderlands GOTY xmas 2011 for a game. I sent one key first to be cautious and he immediately unfriended me and changed profile name. Not going to be desperate for a trade again.
Well, I am too embarrassed how expensive the game I lost was, but while it sucks that happened to you, could be worse =) Definitely get people to +rep, and if you're ever paranoid about someone, steamrep not only tells you if they're a scammer but unless they have a closed profile you can see which of their friends are scammers, and if their friends of friends are, lol.
Don't trade keys or money with people without rep.
I certainly won't trade keys or money with you unless I receive my item first.
I guess I need to nag the couple of people I traded with to + my rep, at least to get away from the negligent rep.
I don't want to trade with anyone lacking rep either, it's the easiest way to lose keys.
That way I can feel comfy sending first. Love the rep system. :D
