Hey there! (sorry upfront for the long text but please read it to the end)
So before making any offer I would like to talk and of course negotiate with you about my game of desire: Stubbs the Zombie
First of all let me say I am aware of the potential rareness of this game nowadays. And I totally share your idea of how rareness leads to pricing. Games like 007 Legends are going for ridiculous prices for a reason...
Yet still I am aware of two other things:
1) This game has no real demand for the biggest part of the community (even for collectors). I have talked to a LOT of collectors and before buying removed games from either traders or resellers I always talk to such people whether any pricing is reasonable or not
2) After Disney started to break thorugh to lots of different markteplaces there actually is potential that they bring back their gaming departments, which COULD also include Stubbs the Zombie (it would be a remake of course yet still this would damage the price of the original one). So most likely (who ever gets his hands on that game) does not want to be severely "ripped off" like it was the case with Mafia 1. I am not talking about your pricing here, but I've seen people buying it for like $500 and just a year later or something it was announce to be back on Steam... that would've hurt :D
But don't get indisposed yet I am willing to pay for this game but as mentioned: only of a somewhat reasonable price can be found...
As of Steam Charts this game has literally no playerbase and seemingly this game NEVER had one at all which is a shame in my honest opinion. The reason for this most likely is because it was a bad port back then and it is absolutely not optimized for modern machines... anyways the reason why I personally want to have this game is not the "value" or the experience or something but I actually want to play this game (as bad as the experience might be) because it was one of the three parts that made my childhood-gaming an unforgetable experience:
1) Ghostbusters: The Video Game
2) Destroy all Humans (which apparently is the reason why the desire for Stubbs came back up)
3) Stubbs the Zombie
These title engraved my childhood. Now for the part that actually interestest you because it somewhat gives a hint about how willing I am to pay for this game...
Sure you could say "You only want to play this? Crack it!". Of course it could be that easy but my perfectionism would never allow that because if I crack games I will never touch them or honor them at all. It does not matter how much I paid for a game but as long as I paid I will play it sooner or later and this game deservers this.
A few weeks ago I dusted off my old Xbox360 becaue I had a severe itch for playing Ghostbusters. After finishing off this game once more I decided to get the hell out there and find a copy for this game. I actually found a good offer by a friendly trader in "my neighborhood" (like 200 kilometers away from me xD ) and he sold his last copy for this game to me for about $60 I guess (I don't know what the course was back then because I paid in Euros) because he was impressed about some guy travelling like 200 kilometers by train just for that game. Depending on the current prices that can be found it actually was some sort of overpayment because now you can get your hands even on a gift for about 50€ which apparently is somehwere around the same price in Dollars but anyways I was pleased. As you can actually see if you browse through my list I still played this game even though I finished it like 10 times on Xbox before. The reason: I finally got my hands on a rare gem of my childhood :) I thought about cracking it for PC but I know myself and I know I wouldn't have touched that game for longer than the prologue...
And now that the remaster of Destroy all Humans is announced and this time this game also comes to Steam my childhood feelings came back up. I have this game on my wishlist already and as soon as it is buyable I will get my hands on this, no matter if $20 / $50 or even $100. And this means a lot if I am saying this because my last pre-order or day-1-purchase was back in 2012 when Mass Effect 3 finally came out to end these series :D
Now this means that I almost (somewhat) reconstructed my childhood with Ghostbusters and Destroy all Humans...
Only one little piece is missing: Stubbs the Zombie. The reason why I am telling you such a long story - sorry again - is because your text about "gems of videogames" and people that don't give such games the deserved honoring implies that even if some of your prices are ice-cold and black-harted (don't get this personal please) you seem to have a heart for people that actually HONOR these games nowadays and not only for their rarity but also for their personal values to some people.

COLLECTING is something I only do for Steam. I bought that game back when Xbox 360 was somewhat new to the market and Wideload was still online so I got it for like 10 bucks or something.
Yet still even though I read that $3k+ price I am not repelled... I am a computer scientist in the middle of germany so money is not a big concern for me either :D The only thing is I would need some time to justify that price for myself to not feel bad about "wasting" money. I mean I know it would not be wasted especially for me but I bet you also had these moments in your life when you bought something expensive and you thought to yourself "What have done?! :O" you know?

Maybe I'm the only one owning some of these titles for trade at the moment, some other people keep them in inventory just to show off (Monkey see, monkey do), a waste which doesn't make justice to some games that should be enjoyed. Nowadays everyone is a "Steam addict", but for those who don't care about the Steam library, my advice would be to get a physical retail version of these games on eBay/Amazon/GoG or other sites for 5-20$, add as non-Steam game with custom grid image. Removed Steam game copies are a luxury for fans of a particular game/collectors who want to have them forever available in their account.
I've been trading since 01/08/2012 and I have impersonators; Remember that my profile is 16 years old, public, with more than 9000 games and with an inventory full of Steam removed games.
As you can see many rare games disappeared from my inventory during the years, from Stalin vs Martians, to James Cameron's Avatar the game, Wolfenstein (2009), ToCA 3, Dirt 1, Top Gun, Elf Bowling etc. - it's because I traded them for the right offer.
